"What's wrong?" Lily asked. "Why can't you control youself?"

Zeph pinned his ears back in suprise when Kira screamed, but his eyes softened when she said she was sorry. What did she mean she couldn't control her emotions anymore? Did he do something...or was she having a rough day?

Zeph tipped his head and made a move to follow her, hesitated, and then took off. "Hey, wait!"

Kira just stopped and sighed as she turned back to the others. "Look, I had a rough day," she said, trying to sound at least a bit pleasant. "And...well, I just need to be alone. You don't know what kind of life I've lived, so why can't you guys just enjoy yourselves while you can?!" Tears started pouring out her eyes again, feeling even more angrier as the time drug on and on.

Zeph tipped his head, but his green eyes went soft with sympathy. What all had this poor kid been through? "Well there isn't much to enjoy these days, not for any of us. Or me, atleast." He now seemed dazed in a memory, a sad one.

He shook his head to clear it and looked at Kira. "I'll go if you want to be alone, then." Zeph turned to leave.

Kira suddenly looked back and nodded respectively before she turned away and started walking deeper into the forest. She wanted to be alone...she needed to get away before anything else happens to anyone else that she had cared deeply about...

Bic:// Suddenly, a white wolf just sighed and trotted up to the little group. "Dudes, you guys are going to have bad luck for the rest of your life," he said, sort of giving out a silly smirk. "You were just talking to a demon..."

Zeph only flicked his ears and curled his tail. "Bad luck? puh, who cares..." He didn't seem to realize the situation, and walked off with his head high.

The wolf just sighed and slightly shook his head. "You don't understand, do you?" he asked, shifting his gaze towards Zeph once more. "Kira's been through a whole lot more than you think."

Scout walked up to Kira. "Well, then, I'll stand by her," he said faithfully. He looked at Kira. "If you'll let me," he said, hoping that she'd say it was all right.

Zeph turned around and faced the wolf, ears pinned back. "I believe she's been through something, alright. But that doesn't mean you have to come out like that and start telling us all this stuff that's personal to her. Stick with your own business, bud." As if in warning, his claws dug into the dirt and his eyes narrowed.

Kira looked up and, for what seemed like forever, started to smile. "No, it's okay, Zeph," she said, walking up to the white wolf. "This is an old friend of mine. Everyone, this is Snowclaw." The white wolf nodded in greeting as Kira introduced him to everyone else.

Zeph seemed to soften and his ears pricked again. "Sorry about that, Snowclaw. I'm Zeph." He dipped his head in a greeting.

"I'm Lily." She smiled in greeting.

Scout nodded. "Hello." He looked back at Kira. "So.... what do you say?" he asked rather shyly.

Kira just sighed and looked back up at Snowclaw, hoping for at least a bit of guidance. The white wolf looked back down and nodded, letting out a huge smile to help out his most troubled friend. Kira then sighed again, but this time with a bit more of relief, and looked back at her new friends. "Sure," she finally replied, a new kind of smile on her face.

Without thinking, Zeph wagged his tail and had to flick it and turn the other way to hide his new expression. He flattened his ears slightly in embarassment and hoped no one saw.
