Disney didn't copy directly from Kimba, but they did still 'borrow' from it. Yes, Kimba's 'aunt' did confess she wasn't related, but that's still a similarity nonetheless. Again, The Lion King is very different, yet at the same time it's very similar. I don't think that it's wrong for Disney taking these elements. but I think it's wrong for them not to give Osama Tesuka (the creator of Kimba) some kind of credit. Besides, Osama's wife said that he'd have been very flattered that Disney was inspired by his work.

After the war the Pridelands are at peace, are they not? Quote: Balto_Sarabi wrote: Quote: Simba had an evil uncle,Kimba had an evil aunt Kimba's"aunt"confessed that she really wasn't related to him. Really? well, that proves that Disney didn't copy from "Kimba".. The story of Simba is diffrent from the story of Kimba so stop telling us that Disney copied Kimba.. As Canis Lupus said, a similarity none the less. And I'm pretty sure your requests for this to be locked are being ignored Nobody's bashing TLK here or causing you any personal harm.

I do like TLK, but I feel that there's better films out there (like Bambi, for example). I enjoy LK2 however, I thought it was a lovely sequel that's better than the Balto sequels.

Besides, Canis hates WQ, right? I don't hate WQ, but I agree that Aleu is basically a clone of Kiara, 'cept Kiara had charm. WQ had a lot of Lion King elements but I wouldn't say it's a rip-off, just as The Lion King has a lot of Kimba elements, but is not a rip off.
