Critics just seem to hate everything. Remember Hugh Jackman's opening bit for the oscars this year? Most critics complained that it wasn't that great, but the comments made by average viewers (myself included) were full of praise and things like "That was so good" or "Loved it" and "I didn't know Hugh Jackman was such a good singer!"
A critics job is to criticize. Nothing more.
