In my town's ASPCA center they just put the dogs in small little cages and leave them in there barking till they're freed by a new owner. The pit bulls there along with the other bigs dog are kept in the back. They have a Doberman,A couple pitbulls, a lazy husky, and two german shepherds in the back looking like they were about to rip your head off. Except for the husky. He just sat there and panted XD Yeah I guess I am pretty lucky, and the dogs are lucky too because they get to run around off-leash. The shelter is located in the country so there is plenty of room for them to run, and I guess in a way it's kind of a good thing that Pit Bulls are banned where I live, because the Humane Society would keep them in cages not even big enough for a Pomeranian to run around in, and you know what they say, "a tired Pit Bull is a happy Pit Bull." A few other people and I take the dogs out to run daily, it socializes them and it helps with behaviour alot. When we let the dogs in they run straight to their beds and pass out. We usually take them out for 3 half an hour runs after feeding them and when we bring them in, we give them water, let them walk around for a bit and give them a new toy for when we put them back in their kennels, which are fairly large. The dogs don't have specific kennels, and everday a different dog gets to sleep out of the kennel. A husky? Hmm.. I never knew they were considered vicious. =/ The ASPCA here thinks anything bigger than a Pomeranian is deadly. A Pomeranian killed a 3 year old boy and they're calling Pitbulls "Dangerous"?

*jawdrop* That's TERRIFYING. Seventy-five breeds?!?! *reads over list* And OMG, what kind of arbitrary list is this?! You're right, Maugrim, it does feel as if it's just about every kind of dog! Well, fortunately for me I don't see Salukis or Afghans or Bedlington terriers or many of my other favorites--but I cannot believe that Borzoi is included! And Scottish Deerhound!?!? Where does anyone get off going after such breeds?! I don't like seeing Kuvasz on there either...honestly, how many people have Kuvaszok that they should even be a problem? (They just need strong, dominant, experienced dog owners..same as the others..) That is SHOCKING. Pretty much the whole thing. Airedale? English Springer? Golden Retriever? Fox terrier, French Bulldog, Keeshond, Otterhound, Husky, Newfoundland, Boston terrier, Pug, Bouvier....*is bewildered* Do they want to ban or restrict every breed of dog? I know in some of those, overbreeding and bad breeding have led to some uncharacteristically aggressive dogs...but never did I think I'd see them on a list of banned and restricted breeds... I want to know HOW all of these got on here. Not that I think ANY breed should be. But just, wow. When will it stop? I gotta say, I'm pretty horrified.

That is just shocking how many breeds are banned O_O
Anyways wonderful idea of mine, I'll use my Zoo Tycoon Two games to recreate how dogs are kept so those with weak stomachs can still view. PM me if you wish to join the group that will help me with new ideas how to show people the horribleness, yet still let those weak stomach people view.

I'd cry if they banned German Shepherds, Pitbulls, Boxers, Bulldogs, And Toy Poodles where I live DX Since the world is mad they probably will ban them where I live. Then forbid the universe from owning dogs...Then they'll BAN CATS! THEN RODENTS AND SNAKES AND BIRDS! THEN HORSES! THEN FISH

That list is... ugh. First of all, they have no reason to ban/restrict those breeds. (Responsible Dog Owners? Pah!) Second, half of them aren't breeds/are spelt incorrectly/have the wrong name. Examples:
2. Akbash Dog 6. German Shepherd Dog 8. American Husky doesn't even exist... O.o There are Alaskans, which are just a mix of breeds, and Siberians, which are also on the list... 11. Wolfdog. Why does every other breed have American in front of it?? 13. Arikara Dog. I'm going to go and see if this actually is a breed... 17. Groenendael. Why do the other three Belgian Shepherds keep their names while the fourth gets slapped with "Belgian Sheepdog"? This is a pet peeve of mine. 18. Belgian Tervuren 19. Blue Heeler is just another name for the Australian Cattle Dog, which is already on the list. 20. I believe this is spelt "Boerboel". 33. Colorado Dog. I'm not entirely sure this is a real breed. 35. Dogo Argentino. No "de" at all. 39. American Eskimo Dog. OK, I've seen pictures of what people simply call "Eskimo Dog" but those are mixes. So if AED was what these people were thinking, great, they don't know what they're banning. If they're banning mixes... 44. German Shepherd Dog. Exactly the same as the "Alsatian Shepherd" (interesting story behind the name Alsatian, I may post it later...) so they're thick enough to have the same breed twice, with an incorrect name the first time! 45. Golden Retriever. When you take away my Goldens... -pounds fist- 46. Greenland Dog 48. Great Pyrenees. Or Pyrenean Mountain Dog, if you prefer, but these sad sacks might have problems spelling it. 49. Italian Mastiff. Think this could be a breed, but I do have my doubts... any Mastiff people out there who can help? 53. Kotezebue Husky. WTH is this? 55. Labrador Retriever. -laughs- Sorry, love, but banning the #1 most popular breed in America and various other countries isn't going to work. 62. Presa de Mallorquin. Again, I've never heard of it. 66. Saarloos Wolfhound. O.o 72. Timber Shepherd????? 74. Tundra Shepherd... come again? 75. Wolf Spitz. I think this is a breed. I think it isn't. Help?
Mmmm... sorry guys, but I find this more funny than frightening.

There is a breed known as the Greenland, or Greenland Dog, or Grunlandshund (with an umlaut over the u), or Gronlandshund. But I've never seen it referred to as a Greenland Husky before.
Anyway, you guys are too right. Many of those same errors bug the heck out of me. Not only is that list utterly insane, the people who wrote it can't even spell, and surely don't know too much about dogs. It's all seriously crazy. I don't THINK a lot of those breeds are in any real trouble yet (Labradors? Come on), but plenty of us will be up in arms if anybody ever tries to take them away.

Yeah I noticed a fair few up there that I've never heard of.
It's all very strange.
Seriously, if they ban all those dogs in the UK then I'm rebelling. I'll actually join in with all the protests - and without doubt, they'll be protests.

Hahahahaha they're trying to ban Labradors and Goldens. I just find that too funny.
But I'm surprised Malamutes aren't there, there's huskies, but no malamutes.
But I shall join teh Shebaness quest for club members! 8D
