and there is no real number on casualties from German and English/American during the invasion, I only know that Germany lost most of their army in Russia. and that Russia followed by Germany had the highest casualties.

That's what I thought. Apart from Russians, I believe that the fact Germans had the highest casualities even with the best weapons is somehow intresting, also considering that in the second part of the war Germans had to defend their position.

Of course they had high casualty rates; they were fighting with pretty much everyone near the end of the war. When comparing, you should probably compare the German losses with those off all allies combined on the European theater; then, tings tend to even out. Plus, a defender has higher casualties in a mobile war (no initiative, which means more encirclements etc...), especially if the other side has air superiority.

The simple fact is that what swung the war to the allied side, was, in a large part, American industrial might. American industry was completely safe from bombing runs and could not be disabled by German or Japanese efforts. Toward the end of the war, America was turning out ships faster than the Japanese could sink them. The American industrial juggernaut simply rolled over the competition, which had been weakened by bombing and disruption. Germany simply couldn't produce enough tanks and guns, and even when they could, they couldn't produce gasoline adequate to make them function. In the words of the Japanese, "We've awakened a sleeping giant".

Let me make something clear first. I think Hitler was a twisted individual that was motivated by hate and the Holocaust will remain the worst genocide in world history. Also, his fascist style of ruling was a violation of God given rights.

But you have to give Hitler some credit. Before he was elected, Germany was virtually a 3rd world country. They were so devastated by WWI. The biggest cause was that Germany had to pay the damages to WWI which in turn, collapsed the German economy. This made the Germans rather angry at the French and the English.

So lets put you in their shoes. You live in poverty, you know that Germany was humiliated by the French and the English, and you know that your economy is in shambles because your country is paying for a war that you were too young to remember. You would feel rather angry.

Then a man steps up and says that you are a member of a very special people, and you should be proud to be German, in fact, zealous. Hearing words like that would be a breath of fresh air. Then this man also goes on to blame the English, the French, and the Jews. You agree with him because the English and the French did take most of Germany's money and you notice that the Jews do seem to be rich and doing well and you're really jealous. This man also goes on saying that he's going to lead the Germans to become a "master race". Hearing words like that would seem pretty cool. That's why so many Germans elected him and you would probably too, unless if you're Jewish.

After Hitler got elected, he built the country from nothing. He took Germany from a 3rd world country to a superpower. If Hitler didn't do a genocide or start WWII, we would look back at him as one of the greatest leaders ever to live. But since he holds the responsibility of millions of deaths, he's now considered one of the worst leaders.

If I have my facts right, Adolf Hitler also introduced the automobile to Germany.

I'm not really interested in it, but I hate Adolf Hitler! He was such a nasty man and I still don't understand how he could be so Anti-Semitic! The Jews never did anything wrong!

im gonna tell you the reason why he didn't like Jews (it wasn't only jews he hated)
Some people say this is the reason (quoted from a book):

Quote:
Hitler lived in Vienna from 1907 to 1913 and those were the most difficult years of his life. Hitler was trying to become an Architect or to make himself a name in field of arts. He was twice rejected from the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. The second rejection by the Academy was one of the most traumatic experience of his life; all his dreams were shattered. After discovering that four out of seven professors that rejected him were Jewish he blamed the Jews for his failure.

Hitler had a very traumatic life which is probably the base to hes hatred of jews, He needed someone to blame for hes failure.
im sure something happened in hes life that made him do all these things cause a full functioning human wouldn't do such a thing as he did., Hate is a bad word i dont hate him, I hate what he did,I hate what he became. i lost ancestors and family in the war fighting both against and with the Axis.

I think what shaped the man even more were the years he spent in the horror of WW1 trenches. Along with millions of others, whatever of humanity he had in him in 1914 had been bombed and gassed out of him by 1918 (he in fact spent some time in a field hospital after being badly injured by poison gas). If you've been witness to the carnage of WW1, the leap to the holocaust is much easier taken then it is when you're born and raised in an era of peace.
