personaly, I think Steele was shunned by all the other dogs and decided to run away.

No sense living when you are constantly alone. I'd go nuts.

But there's the thing; maybe he did stay and went mental (as if he wasn't already).

I have no idea what happened to steele. But it would be fun to watch him in another movie. Steele is my fav characture from balto. Hes the one that inspired me to start drawing balto charactures. WoOt! go steele!

i think he was locked in that one place where he was telling everyone his fake story. when the door closed, i heard two noises: that of the door closing, and a "click". maybe the click was a lock, so he was locked in there.

I think he simply stayed in town. Steele not being present in the second and third movies doesn't automatically mean that he left.
