Copying Characters!

Actually, if it's a very simple marking, then it is likely that someone elses wolf has it aswell.

It's just getting very annoying! I've changed my name several times so people would know that a Character was mine

This is getting me angrier and angrier. EVERY TIME I come out with something new, these fricken "fans" have to draw one their way too. I mean, of ALL the breeds of dogs in the world, why is it that as soon as I post something on DA like the KLEE KAI and the COLLIE that when I come on here there are like 3 other characters that are also KLEE KAIS or COLLIES? This happened before when I changed my fursona to a saluki, someone else made a saluki character, but then as soon as I changed the character to a collie, they drew their fursona as a collie!

Same with the klee kai. Most people on this site don't even know what a klee kai is. And I know that as soon as they fiish reading this godforsaken post, they're gonna look it up, find out, and create a buttload of klee kai characters -_- Anyway. I posted a klee kai character on another website and there I have people from this site watch me. So as soon as I come up with something original THERE, they'll post their own version HERE thinking its all new and original just cuz I didn't put it on this site, JUST for the reason so they don't copy it.

Its ALSO the same with my OLD character designs. My OLD character design had a cowlick and now someone else's character, who never USED to have a cowlick, has one now. I dropped the look cuz it was stupid, but this person insists they don't copy me, when its obvious they do. My current fursona has a tattoo (cuz I have one in real life) and now, for some ODD reason, they have a "marking" (not a tattoo a "marking", that oddly resembles a tattoo) in the SAME spot as mine.

I only wonder what people are gonna copy off me next? If they gave me some fricken credit, I wouldn't be so pissed off. A little "Inspired from one of CatWhoHas14Tails' pictures" but no, I don't even get that. No respect. And after I decided to put my art on here for you cuz SO MANY of you wanted it back. I should delete my gallery again, but then no uneduCATed person would know who the other people are copying from :roll:

At least when they look at my gallery it'll be that more obvious.

I knew eventually somebody was going to post something like this because yes it is that annoying!THEY NEVER GIVE ANY CREDIT!I don't send in my hand drawn art because I'm afraid people will steal it.So I send in very badly made stuff that I used paint for! I hate it when people do stuff like that.

Um, did you ask me for permission on this? I don't think so. I really don't appreciate that. Funny how this comes up in a topic about copying. I'd rather you not copy kanook and dartanion, or any of my characters, I worked hard to create them to be original. Make up your own character based on your own ideas, not someone else's. I'm sick of being so passive on this.

That's pretty much stealing a character, the changing the name. So yeah...you're kind of digging yourself a deeper hole here.

Um, that's STILL copying! Why are you trying to redeem yourself? You're just digging yourself a bigger hole. I highly suggest you start from scratch instead of copying off characters that don't belong to you.

Flare ya can't copyright names, only the design.

And I agree with this. A year ago someone copied my character Dakota: had every piece of her design except for the leg markings. Now it's a very simple design but at least the member should've been more creative other than copyin' my character. And I simply told her to change it. But people lack creativity and it's very annoyin' :roll:

It's very annoying. Creativity is on a downslide in alot of places/sites.
