If your opinion could be viewed as an attack on the other party, you don't say anything.

Let's see...I have been a vegitarian for about 5 or so years now, and I have never had any nutritional problems because of it. There's plenty of alternatives to getting the stuff you need besides meat. So, you can't die because of being a vegitarian...

Well I am stupid, so I won't take that as much of an insult.
I've never had any problems either being a vegetarian. I started being a vegetarian when I was 9, my friend has been a vegetarian ever since she was 3. We've never had any problems at all that could be linked to lack of nutritions.

Isthis atcually true? Or is the usual average human reaction to new they do not like, taking facts to the extreme, to scare others into falling apart and giving up? Nobody seems to wish to be supportive and its not making it easier on me, though I intend on staying a vegatarian, I still wish I did not have to do it alone...
Anything you do excessively is BAD for you. Man evolved as an Omnivore, and requires to follow a wide range diet, in order to get all proteines and vitamines, and to keep the body mass in a certain balance.
Being vegetarian won't kill you, as you can look for vegetables and fruits with similar (but not as efficient) nutritious values as meat has. But it's a fact that we shouldn't eliminate carnivorous diet from our eating habits, as our digestive system is designed to process meat, primarily, and as our brain requires an immense amount of proteines in development.
As already mentioned above - no matter what you do excessively - eating meat or vegetables - it will lead to an unbalanced physiology of your body. Fat will grow to the wrong places, blood circulation will be disturbed... and even your mental capability would be influenced by it.
However... it's wrong to say you should eat THAT MUCH of this and THAT MUCH of that. Every individual has a slightly different set up organism, which results in people that require to eat more meat and in other people that require to eat more vegetables. You should never just leave out the other diet, but you can adapt what you eat to what makes you physiologically feeling better...
...so... it's not wrong if you prefer to eat salads. But you shouldn't forget to eat a cutlet besides it

Although I don't see what you have so much againt 'killing animals' when eating fruit & veg is no different. While eaing them, you're still killing. Just because they don't have eyes or a heart doesn't mean they're not alive
Just sayin' What I consider a big difference is: The plants are alive, but they don't have thoughts and feelings to the same degree that animals do. So people say it doesn't matter... but it does to me... I'm not saying it should to you... I'm just explaining what the difference between eating Animals and plants..is to me.
How do you know?
They ARE still alive, but peeps kill them'

Plants DON'T have brains, there for they can't think. And That's why I choose to eat plants instead of animals.
If plants HAD a brain and I KNEW they could think and feel, I would still have to eat something. And I feel less attached to a plant than an animal.
Studies have been done that show plants can feel. But not to the same extent of an animal.

Being a vegetarian can actually make you healthier- as long as you do it right. You have to make sure that you have plenty of protien. If you just eat salads, you'll feel like crap and have no energy. But as long as you do it all right, you'll feel a lot better. :]
[And people.. Don't try and tell me I am wrong, because I know I am not. I have talked to someone is has been a vegetarian for a few years and they told me that stuff.]

Forgive me if I repeat anything someone else has already said.
I've noticed a few people have mentioned that plants are alive too, but animals have hearts, brains, eyes, ears, and all of that stuff...
I'd never be able to become a vegetarian, I believe God put everything here for a reason, he put cows and pigs here for us to eat! What else do they do?
Nevertheless I respect your decision to become a vegetarian, and I was just wondering how much exercise you get. Now, I'm not a scientist but if you don't excersise much then I think you'll have more luck becoming a vegetarian than if you excercise vigorously. Meat gives you a lot of energy and feels you up more, (well, at least it does to me)
Also, you can always take vitamin supplements. You don't HAVE to get it from meat, so I seriously doubt you'll die from being a vegetarian.
And, hey, you ARE supposed to eat more vegetables and fruits than you are meats.

Oh... what an evidence...
If I'd tell you that I have a friend in the swiss government, and that this friend told me that Switzerland would take over the world, would you believe me?
[/sarcasm]
If yes, you'd be the perfect candidate to be suppressed in a dictatorship.
Well - I suggest you to study biochemistry and human biology, before doing statements like "I know I'm right".

What you should do is become a lacto-vegetarian (eats dairy products), being a vegan is much harder (only veg and friut) and the only supplement you need is Vitamin B-12. My mum was a laco-vegetarian for over 30 years and knows what she's talking about too.
