Please read the following post all the way through and carefully, Rosetta.
Quote: I NEVER did and I never agreed with any sort of slaughter. If you READ my above post(way up the page) I read all posts. Quote: You would realize I find killing animals for food is offensive, but than again we are animals so its survival of the fittest at its finest. BaltoSeppala was not being rude. I read his comments and agreed with him. He is an adult and knows an awful lot about facts. It would be wise to RESPECT him. He was TRYING to respect you until you blew it out or porportion. Than he got offended by the fact you were saying reading books about things makes you an expert. Please TRY to be considerate of other peoples ways of thinking. As I had to learn, not everyone is gonna agree with you. Thats sorta the point of a post though. So please respect that. Lastly I have nothing against Japanese. Do not excuse ("accuse", and I didn't)me of such a thing!Alot of my friends are indeed of that race and I would never depise them. I made it QUITE CLEAR I disagree with the METHODS used to kill dolphins. Thats it. Please refrian from yelling anymore. I wont reply next time you do and I will indeed report your comments to a mod, so please respect my opinions here! I am too yours too! Yes, I know, most people find killing animals offensive. But we still do it, just for food, not for fun. I don't believe I said you agreed to slaughter. I agree BaltoSeppella had a good point in my use of the word "expert". I respected him before he started acting rude. When I said let's get back to the topic, the argument didn't stop. I was NOT being rude. He said I used the word "expert" incorrectly, whereareas I provided evidence that I did indeed use it correctly. Then he said my example was a poor one for the sake of being correct. I never said "reading books makes you an expert". If I did, what I meant was it makes you a sort-of sub-expert. I was considerate, but he was the one who wouldn't just drop it. Because he may be older or have been here longer than me doesn't mean he is higher than me in every way, so can it. I respect peoples' ideas. That does not mean I do not disagree with them. I fully read his posts, I made my best effort to udnerstand them, and as well asd I could understand, he was the one at fault, so there was an argument. Quote: Lastly I have nothing against Japanese. Lastly, I respect your opinions, Rosetta, but you are really starting to get on my nerves. If you had really respected my opinions you wouldn't be as rude, because I never directly insulted you. I am not "yelling". I am expressively writing. When I DO THIS IT MEANS I am putting emphasis on that word. I doubt a mod would really side with you, or me with that matter. Reporting would get us both in trouble. And now, PLEASE stop getting off topic! This is quite a controversial and interesting topic, so let's not lose it! And please don't roll your eyes at me. P.S. I'm sick of everyone siding with BaltoSeppella. Sure he's a far more credible source, but does that mean he is ALWAYS right?[/quote]

I don't think I get the thrust of your argument Loup Cache. Could you perhaps be a little more concise? From what I gather you are saying that anyone who eats meat is somewhat of a hypocrite because of where the meat comes from. Pardon me if that isn't your argument, I'm having difficulty following you.
As to the judging of the Japanese, I don't think anyone on here criticized them for being Japanese or insinuated that Japanese people were bad. It remains a fact that the Japanese happen to be the ones doing this act and as such, they are the ones that animal rights activists will blame. It's not judging them, it's simply stating facts.

If I am getting on your nerves please do not reply back to me. Simple enough. I misunderstood you SORRY.No need to go start saying I am getting on your nerves. Next time to save us the problem lets not use the word hypocrite ok? It really is a rude form of language. Say something like " you all are forgetting that we kill cows and chicken too" instead of "YOU ALL ARE HYPOCRITES!"
Understand now?
and I agree lets stop arguing please. If you dont anyways I will/

Some people don't understand my point right away, so I usually use some *cough* really nice words *cough*.
What I mean't was I've been arguing with people (for the past few days) that I don't have the least idea where they are coming from, who they are, how abdle they are to disco dance-I mean, I can barely grasp some of these things. I didn't mean you were getting on my nerves, I mean trying to argue with people spreads my brainpower thin and I tire of it.
And HrryNrmn, yes, you have my argument exactly. I am infact saying most meat-eaters are somewhat of hypocrites (yes, that includes me; am like a double hipocrypeddd now) because of how inhumanely the livestock are treated and sometimes killed.
The activists are blaming the Japanese, but some dissenters of the way they kill their meat also insult the Japanese race directly. Some do state the facts with neutrality. In this argument I was talking about the people who fail to understand that killing brutally isn't something you should judge people by.

Alright well we all have our own opinions and I respect yours so ok,whatever you think. I know where you are coming from though. I have argued so much on this site now I have just given because what you will realize, sooner or later is you cannot change anyones thought process or opinions, and no matter how much it makes you mad your just gonna have to deal.

I don't get it, everyone seems to think that we as humans have the right to kill dolphins or any other animal for instance. Its murder, this proves once again to me that animals are more likely the ones to have souls. Not saying we don't, but some humans are just plain sick and disgusting. We don't need meat. GO VEGETERIAN.

Well wolves kill deer for food,we kill cattle for food,foxes kill bunnies. Its a survival technique,we just have to accept the fact. ^^;;

Vegetarian diets are just as bad, if not worse. Do you have any idea the number of small animals killed every year by harvesters and pesticides? It numbers in the millions, by conservative estimates. Unless you plant and harvest your own crops without machines or pesticides. But come on, who does that?
Look real close, I think you'll be shocked. Rabbits, voles, mice, rats, snakes and other animals are mutilated and simply left to rot in the fields where they fall. A doctor named Stephen Davis did a study where he determined that simply mowing an alfalfa field resulted in a 50% reduction in vole populations in the area.

Meat is murder? Heh, wheat is murder.

Its murder, this proves once again to me that animals are more likely the ones to have souls. Not saying we don't, but some humans are just plain sick and disgusting. We don't need meat. GO VEGETERIAN. There are several problems with this. First off, if we "seem to think we as humans have the right" to kill animals, well, we can just outlaw it right? Wrong. Every law; no murder, no stealing, no raping, no child neglect, no drugs- are these laws followed? No, not in the least respect (with the exception of people with COMMON SENSE!). That is because these laws are for things we KNOW people will still do. Humans have that fundamental flaw. Also, if we think we have the right to kill animals, we would be absolutely correct. Last time I checked, killing animals for nourishment is not illegal. Secondly, it isn't murder, it is called "farming". We don't kill livestock for the reason people kill each other. There are no love triangles, hate-crimes, etc. We kill them for food, so it is perfectly legal, and NOT murder. Thirdly, don't try to cram vegetarianism down peoples' throats. People were not born vegetarians; rabbits were, though. Just live with the fact. And HrryNrmn is completely right; many animals are killed in the harvesting of vegetables and grains, though I doubt it is more than the amount of livestock killed by slaughter. crystalsweetangel wrote: Its murder, this proves once again to me that animals are more likely the ones to have souls. Not saying we don't, but some humans are just plain sick and disgusting. I thought the term "souls" fell into the category of religion, does it not? Are you inferring that animals have religions? That strengthens your argument ten-fold, it sure does. When doctors were mapping out the anatomy of the human body, I doubt they found a "soul" and labeled it... You also contradicted yourself. When you stated animals are more likely to have souls, you stated that out of the two, humans and animals, animals have a higher probability to have a soul. And in the next sentence, you stated that you didn't mean that we don't have souls. So, you believe we have souls, yet animals have a higher probability of having souls? I am confused. crystalsweetangel wrote: We don't need meat. GO VEGETERIAN.
That's why our "God" created meat AND vegetables. A nice balance of the two will mean a smaller demand for meat and slightly better living and slaughter conditions. At least, I don't eat strictly meat or strictly vegetables. I eat more vegetables than meat I suppose.
Strictly vegetarian diets will cause large amounts of rodent deaths and stricly carnivorous diets will cause large amounts of livestock deaths. A slightly weighted diet would do good (like what I mentioned in the above paragraph).
Bah. I rant too much.

I watched it on you Tube, it made me cry.
the Japanese seem to have no respect or compassion for ANY kind of animal.
They don't comply with international laws/treaties and don't do the environment and it's animals any favors.
if it wasn't for this I wouldn't mind Japanese but i find it hard to respect the people and the government involved in these revolting actions.
However they're not all like that.
And like Husky Jenna I ALWAYS eat dolphin safe tuna (I love tuna).
