well yesh i have herd of these little things happening. i kmow people here who are 10 or 9 so young XD lol not really! i think that people should do it is they wanna be banned! but other wise if someone asks like what does.(i cant saysome words here) blank...mean ????what am saying is it causes un comfortable questions AND! people may see that stuff and think they can do it !

Ok, I agree with you about the luvvy dovey talk, that is really irritating, and oddly enough, these people have probably never even once seen each other. But after taking a site age poll to the site, I think I have an understanding as to why that "mate" thing goes on.

For one thing, although this is a kids site, the poll I did shows that more than Half of the people here are at least teen, and many here (which I find this a bit odd) are over 18. I saw a few people in thier 20's. So why does this matter? because that means that there are a heavy number of, older kids, who are probably single, trying to find affection around here.

This "mate" thing would appeal to many teens, because of all the benefits they feel come with the mate power.

1. they don't have to commit to each other
2. many don't have to feel real affection to thier partner
3. the few that do commit probably never had a boy/girlfriend before
4. they feel that they are attractive for playing this way
5. they get an ego boost from it (which explains the love talk, they WANT you to know about it)

To me, the whole "mate" thing is not about love, so much as it is about status. These people want power, at least that's what I see. To me it's not much different than that "power syndrome" we see from most members. I'll give you an example:

1. people who complain about not getting credit ( fanfics, fanart, ect.)
2. people who flame
3. people who verbally attack other members for no reason
4. people who steal

Now BEFORE anyone says this is not true and tries to flame me (and I know there are a few out there) I'm NOT saying that this applies to everyone, but these are definitly possibilities, in my opinion.

Also, this is not to give an excuse to the mates, and i'm not saying I support them (i'm apart of the neutral party) but this can help to explain the behavior.

My friends at school and I call this stuff Pulling A Ino. Iceshadow might get it but probably nobody else would. I hate that kinda stuff ><

See I can stand stuff like that but this is what bothers me(Using different people now):

And kids over 13 should know what he means >< I've actually seen somebody do that and it got far worse than making out

A hour later

Blood: *A tall heavy chested female wolf walks in she looks around wildly and sets her eyes on Whiteloner*

Whiteloner: I already have a mate...
Blood: *Tackles and kisses*

Next Day

I think that some people take things waaaay to seriously with mate talk Yes it does get annoying i agree with ya

Maybe you could make a mating board or a mating box for this stuff a mating board would work better because they would make seperate topics but your choice what to do Steet.

Um, no. This is a kids site remember. There WAS a mate box before and it was gotten rid of for obvious reasons. If they must talk about such immature things they can just take it to pms.

Mates talks? I always thought that was using things like SMS espeshily because it says the rule straight after " Speak only english" Oh well. Mabye steet should make a link from RP into rules in deatail. But yeah the mates talk thing does get anoying after a while. One person said, as soon as a came to RP they said," Do you want to be *someones* mate?" I said I'm mateless but I don't want to talk about "Mates". But yeah good rant.

Are you talking about mates of shoutbox? I don't do mate talk. Are you allowed to talk about in RP?
