It is pathetic and now they're saying they'll pay animal bills for the poisoned ones pfft yeah right

Oh, and I made a mistake. The large bag of Iams is 40lbs and $55.

I think that they should pay for ALL of the ones that got sick.. and they should give those people a lifetime supply of pet food. XD

Recalls expanded to some dry cat foods! Seems that chemicals found in plastic have been found in the kidneys of dead cats.

PLEASE be careful what you feed your pets! Over 8000 pets have died or gotten sick so far, and thousands more are expected to be lost!

We feed my dogs Purina dry food. Is that alright.

Hmm...the only new dog food that's been added to the recall list is Alpo. Purina dry might be okay, but wet purina dog food was recalled. I'd switch to a different brand, but that's just me.

Seems that cats are fareing worse in the recall then dogs are...

Like almost all foods for animals are and we were feeding my dog wet Iams too for a long time....but his stomach has only been upset once and that was along time ago.My cat has a inctrollable valve so she throws up ALOT but she has been around along time,so I think my animals are fine she eats science diet afterall.

What do you expect Iams to do Chocokitten? Stuff like this happens, it's not like they did it on purpose or anything. Look at the spinich that was contaminated late last year. People died from it, but the company recalled it and, despite what some people say, the world didn't stop turning.

What did you expect the CEO of whatever Iams parent company to do, run into the streets, tearing his clothes and beating his breast with grief? Did you expect him to commit seppuku out of shame? Did you expect Jesus Christ to come down from heaven and raise the dead pets back to life, if only the Iams people were sorry enough? Did you expect him to go to jail? In order for you to be shocked or suprised at what did happen, you need to have some expectation about what would happen. The food was bad, but Iams recalled it as soon as they were made aware of the error. I'm sure they can't pay for the vet bills because there would be legal issues over it and it would drag on for years to come. All I can say is it's too bad that those pets died, but dying is just a part of life.

Dying is a part of life but, they don't deserve to die such a painful or evem early death due to a stupid mistake.
