Actually, I don't think legal action could be taken, published or not, as the creator of the character in question is not claiming said character to be Swiftkill of the BBA. It's like those shirts you see being sold in hole-in-the-wall shops with independently-redrawn Mickey Mouse faces on them...onlookers would know that the character is based on Mickey Mouse, but so long as the shopkeeper claims the character on the shirt to be someone else (i.e. "Larry Mouse"), they cannot be sued (not saying Katja is or should be accused of doing such a thing...there is no solid evidence to claim character/story theft in this case, there is only suspicion).

As for those Larry Mouse shirts...let's just agree that the U.S. justice system is odd.

But it is still not right. I have notified Kay and I will let HER deal with this.

No one believes me. Ok, I love Kay's comics, but I woudn't steal ANYTHING from her. Also, the spikes in Swiftspeed's head are OK Imo. Why? 'Cause in the BBA most of the people's characters have them, and she doesn't care. The desing is DIFFERENT. Got it? Its DIFFERENT. Maybe the face (silver marking) looks alike, but she is COMPLETELY different from Swiftkill. The banner shows you a pic. I won't change her because I won't do a comic redo again. I won't update here. I will continue on OTHER site I know. They love it there. So, it doesn't bug me, and it doesn't bug me if I get banned, either. I don't really care.

Also, thanks Kahvie for pointing that out for me. The 'alpha dies' plot is even used in Lion King, as Kahvie said. Really. Just... leave the stinkin thread alone and go. Thanks for making my day. Really.

Yes, its sad that when you follow your dreams and make them true, rocks come in your way to make you fall. You are one, and made me fall, but I will continue walking, and never give up.

All I did is to make my comic and then some people come and say "LIEK OMG SWYFTSPIID LEWKS LIEK SWYFTKYLL"

It really annoys me.

GRRRRRRRRRRR! Im taking Katja's side here (Kahvie, I do aggree with you in some ways.) but Katja wanted to let other people enjoy her art and her comics. LOTS of people have used the name Swift*somthing here*

I'm most likely going to get burnt for this, but I would like to speak my mind on the situation. I think it could have been handled differently...in other words, instead of just claiming that Katja stole another's character, it might have been better if something along the lines of "I noticed your character looks like Swiftkill, so maybe changing *add traits here* could help to not make the character seem so similar" was suggested. (Now that I think of it, I should have done that myself in my first post here in addition to noting similarities, sorry for not doing so before)
