A pit bull is a stocky, large breed that is in many cases used in dog fighting.

The American Pit Bull Terrier, is mainly the dog that is hated, though many other breeds are unrespected. Even The German Shepherd Dog is unrespected, or well, people are scared of them. I had a few people that was scared of my chow chow mix, who is pretty small, and he has that "pity" look. He don't have that "mean" look, though you can clearly tell he's chow chow.

I don't understand why people think all these dogs are bad. Do they even RESEARCH that dog breed? It's sad. People are always like: "Ooo, mean dog" to my friend's GSD, even though he is a sweetie pie. Did they even MEET the dog? No, just one look, then all the sudden he's "bad". Just because of his breed, even though, they didn't take their time to meet the dog. They didn't even ask his owner about em. It's just one look, then he's bad. -.-

I don't care, because once I get my dog, then people can be scared. Whatever. Atleast I know my dog's good. It's sad that dogs have to suffer, just because of a few people.

Aww, my boyfriend just got 2 APBT's.. There so cute & sweet.

They were shipped here all the way from the states & were rescued from "death row." His mom grew up with pitbulls so she just had to say yes.

They're brothers and there both 2 years old. There names are Prince & Ryder[I got to name him lol]

This is Prince, he's the more hyperactive one and is obsessed with tug-a-war and socks, just like my dog XD. He's really sweet and loves running around, we put him in the back yard and he wouldn't stop running in circles. He likes other dogs but we wont leave him alone with any except his brother just in case, and he also loves kids but is a bit too hyper for them & knocks them over. When somebody walks past the yard he runs up to the fence while Ryder hides.. He's also a pig and tries to steal his brothers food all the time XD

and this is Ryder, the shy one. He loves cuddling up on the couch but is always getting stomped on by his brother, he likes other dogs but is afraid of cats (lol) and loud noises. When somebody walks by the back yard he usually hides but sometimes goes up to them and licks them, he loves giving kisses and playing fetch..

*Those are the pictures from the shelter, I'll get more after but my mom took the good camera on her trip. -_-

There are some bad things about having them, though. He had to have his fence built higher, he has to have 'beware of dog' signs all over the house, they had to buy chicken wire to put at the bottom of the fence so they couldn't dig under, and they both have to be on chains when they're in the back yard just in case. There's also numorous locks on the fence..

We think somebody already tried to steal one, we heard a noise that sounded like somebody was climbing the fence and the dogs started barking, but when we opened the door we couldn't see anybody..

So..yeah..I'm happy about it :D

Prince and Ryder are adorable! Ryder looks like a pittie I fostered once named Thor; he was a light honey brindle but they do resemble each other.

Thanks people! If only everybody who stereo-types could meet them in real life, they're really sweet!

I believe that picture was taken around when he first got into the shelter, he doesn't look to good in it. He looks much better now though, after being in the shelter for quite a bit. His eyes are clearer and his fur is glossier.

...and Thor sounds cute too :D

Sweet pit bulls. <3
------

Wow, I was on my website, and there was a topic about Pit bulls, and someone posted;

"acutally thats cuz almost all of them are aggresive killers probably not yours but, hey, you never know..."

And, someone posted how a Labrador has higher bite rate(Which is true). They reply:

"What!? Laboradors are not ever known to bite at all unless in defense
u guys are all just feeling sorry for the breed"

I wanted to just yell at that person about how untrue that is, but I didn't, and shockingly was being calm about it.

Then they said:

"whateves I will always beileve what I was tuaght
my grandparents tuaght me that pit bulls are aggresive dogs
so I am already beileiving it
so I am finally though with this post I dont wanna argue with all ya people any more so please dont direct your lectures at me
thanks
P.S. I'm not trying to be mean I just dont want anymore peeps nagging at me and saying I dont know about dogs or anything,
so thanks"

And that's where I want to rip their face off. >_>
And clearly, they DONT know about dogs.
