All terriers were bred to kill; I find that kind of funny how you could relate an animal's prey drive to it's will to "revolt" against human beings. My terrier is better behaved and more tollerant of children than any lab I've ever seen. They're finely bred animals that with hearts of gold, no other "group" for me.

Just for the record, I have nothing personally against labs. If you don't trust pit bulls that's fine with me, but I wouldn't bring a lab into my home if you handed me a huge stack of 100 dollar bills. From my experience most of them I've seen are or have the potential to be very dangerous, but I wouldn't want them all to be put to death in a breed ban because they all look the same or because someone said they all act the same. Many are very gentle and kind and I respect those who choose to own them. It doesn't mean I would myself though, from personal experience.

Give me a good, sturdy terrier anyday

Terrierqueen, how rude! One of my friends has two black labs, and the're sweetest lil' things! But, you're right about the ill-breeding, all right.
And Aleuwolf, aggressive pitbulls can't just growl.

NOTHING?! A little girl has been KILLED by a dog, and you say it's nothing?! That is just a lot more than a little bit of fuss.

I know aggresive dogs can't just growl. But that's the point. This was an agressive, dangerous dog and it just attacked to girl for no reason.

No reason? How would you know? You weren't there, heck..They didn't even say why in the article.

There has to be a reason.

And, I'm going to have to agree with Terrierqueen on this one, do you know how many times I've been attacked or almost attacked by a lab?! It's not even funny..

And, like I said, my dog is a pitbull/rottweiler cross, those breeds are the most known to "attack" people, she's the sweetest thing, and no, I don't let her do whatever she wants, I'm not going to let her get away with anything just because she might attack me, I've been attacked by many dogs, but only 4 bit me and drew blood, a german shepherd cross, a blue heeler/greyhound cross, a cocker spaniel, and a yellow lab cross. Not ONCE has my dog bitten anyone, ever.

Labs, I have to say, are more dangerous, but..all of the labs around here are chained up 24/7, so I can't blame them...

My lab is the sweetest thing ever, she is very obediant. She curls up beside you and rests her head on you. She's always wagging her tail and I can't even imagine her going at something.

But that dog that killed that girl was an obvious killer by the start, say neighbours of the family.

Most of them are female. Some are male.

No females are more aggresive.
