Shadow looked at the forest when he heard the howl. He howled in response. Then he turned his head sharply when another wolf came out. "Hello," he said in a very friendly way. "I'm Shadow. And you are?" he then asked.

I'm Okami Aurora's friend.

((Sure! But Orion doesn't know you yet ))


Orion heard the response howl. He slowly backed away, calling earfully into the night, "Who are you, and what do you want?"

Aurora silently came out of the dark. She looked up at the Aurora Borealis and smiled. "The spirits," she looked over at Orion. "Hello."

One of the three wolves had called to him from the icy cliff. "Hello," she had said.
Orion swiveled his ears. "Hello?" He began. "What do you want?"

Aurora sits down and her eyes flash the aray of colors, her head snaps up. "Not again..."

Orion noticed they seemed to be taking no notice of him, and the one who had sat down seemed to be speaking to herself.

They're mad! Orion thought. But then again, we all are at these times. He shook his head and turned. These could either be some wolves passing through, or imposters, or treacherous hunters... he didn't want to mingle with them. He slowly turned and began to head off the icylake to the shadow of pines. From there he would return home.

"Hey," Shadow called after Orion. "Wait!" Then he turned back to Aurora. "I''l be right back," he said to her. "Okay?" Then he took off after Orion.

Orion heard pawsteps behind him. Shivering in place he waited. The wolf sounded like a female, and not too much older than himself... but he never knew, not on dark nights like these. He turned back, just barely seeing her pelt in the dark night. "Yes?" He asked nervously.

Okami watched Shadow run off after the other wolf(Orion). She lopped after him.She wanted to meet the new wolf.

Aurora nodded and stared at the lights. A form stood before her. "Aurora?"

Orion saw another female loping after the first. "Oh no," he whispered. "Could they be spies?"

"It's okay," Shadow said. "We're not spies or anything. I'm Shadow, and this is Okami." Then he slowly adveanced toward Orion. "And who are you?" he asked.

The young wolf narrowed his eyes. "You're Shadow and this is your friend Okami?" He ducked his head to them, and asked, "Who's the wolf up there? Oh and my name is..." he paused for a moment, then said, "Oriton. I'm Oriton." He looked away from their faces, up to the other she-wolf above them, climbing down the slope.

"Oh her?" Shadow asked, pointing his muzzle at Aurora. "That's Aurora. She's having a very hard time right now," he added. Then he turned back to Oriton. "And Okami is her friend," he added. "I just met her." Then he smiled a very warm, pleasant, and friendly smile.
