This annoys me when your trying to read a post to your own topic! like you post something like "Please join." than one person after you type "I'll be bck 2 jn in abt 1 hr." I mean, I'm trying to figure out what their saying first of all, and then when you finally do its annoying because that is so easy to type out, I mean what are you wasting? One half second? Oh my gosh! Not a half a second, you're gonna lose it sooner or later, why not use it to type out a simple word such as "back" instead of "bck" I mean, it shouldn't take you longer than one millesecond to type one letter in bck to make it back, I mean come on people! This seriosuly annoys me, chatspeak..or SMS, is so annoying for people who like to type things out, and they don't know what you are saying!

Indeed, Yoru. Its completely annoying when someone just speaks like this and you have to sit there for 10-15 mintues trying to figure out what in the world it says.
"U, i cnt unersan u su plzzz leav mi tpc."
I can't even understand myself. Seriously. I would totally say something like that. ;D Speak a language those 'things' can understand. LOL...
Seriously. I used to not mind SMS when it was just like "u, r, y" and stuff. But now... its like... How do these have any relation to any words? They dont. Its just.... baby talk, really.

Now I am not talking about the "brb" or "wb" things....they are alright, I am talking about the any1 or qwik (this one was the hardest from them all XD) etc. etc. etc. Do people that use this type of language bother you? And do you think that there is something that can be done? Please post your opinions.
I usually use the 'any1', but I don't use anything that will make it hard to understand. And I only use the 'any1' on the shoutbox. But I don't think that one is that serious, becuase people know what it means.
I personally think that any of it should not be allowed (except of course the brb, ttyl, and wb). But anything that people can't understand shoulden't be allowed. Becuase it just makes it hard for other people.

That "so what^?" thing got me confused, I hate using l8er, why not jus write later for the common curtesy of the people around you who hate all this language.

I still think its annoying, and its laziness. Its not like this is a text box where you can only write 200 words. And SOME people who like to post LYRICS on the boxes would know. Its just plain annoying and laziness when someone can't take the time to type any one insted of any 1. How many milliseconds do you feel you can't waste to type the extra two letters?

I find it confusing when people use waz for was. Both are the same number of letters, so why use a z? That makes no sence to me.

brb means be right back...
Though I do use some SMS language like lol, brb, and g2g, I try to speak using proper grammar.
Luckily, the people who use an insane amount of SMS language are usually banned after awhile.

I come from the forums at Zoo Admin (where SMS is also forbidden) and this is what one poster put:
hw 4bt 4 dckblled pl4ps 4frm 4str4la
It means: how about a duck-billed platypus from Australia.
This forum is not the only one with SMS problem.

SMS language is used when people are in lazy moods. Now, you have to admit. Everyone feels like they don't want to do something now and then, whatever it may be. Yes, it is very annoying when peple use this type of typing (Did that make any sense? ) frequently. But sadly, the only thing we can do about it, is report to a moderator, or try sending a private message to the person, asking them politely to stop typing lile that.

Sometimes, Panic is an idiot and has a couple of typos. Whenever I don't know a word, I try and shorten it, enough so people get it. But I don't like sms either. I don't even use it for IMs most of the time.
