She's a little annoying unfortunately, but I am a bitter laptop hobo that can randomly go spaz so therefore have no say in the matter.
I just think she's a bit... gee, I dunno. She's carefree when she chases those birds instead of concentrating on her prey, and I don't know why she would of reached out to Zira, maybe because she didn't want Kovu sad, but he didn't really like Zira either XD. But then again, that is the way of the protagonist.

I think Kiara doesn't deserve the bad rap she has amongst die-hard Simba-worshipping Lion King fans (who believe that Simba is meant to have a son). Kiara is not half as annoying as Aleu.

Okay, let's stop with the off-topic Aleu-bashing here and get back to the point, please? (I will agree that Aleu was annoying at points, but she is just as strong of a character as Kiara is . . . now less WQ-talk and more TLK-chat, okay? Thanks.)
*ahem*
Anywho, I don't really think Kiara is annoying at all. When you think about it, her status as Future Queen of the Pridelands would pretty much lead her to be considered as an annoying brat, but she's no way like that . . . well, except for when she was a cub (AKA the first 10 to 15 minutes of the film).
Kiara is considered as "Daddy's Little Princess" - his legacy to the next generation of lions once he's gone; the only real reason I could see her as being annoying is the fact that Simba's overprotective nature over her makes her this rebellious lioness that although she isn't the most perfect huntress of the Pridelands, she cares about others, despite differences in beliefs and looks. She really has a lot of weight to bear on her shoulders, which is told to her by her father after she gets in trouble for roaming into the Outlands, but Kiara's just a lioness who wants to enjoy life and be happy. She could probably care less about her birthright title of "Princess", but her childish nature shows her as someone who tries hard in anything that she does, although it may not be perfectly perfect.
Her personality is very naive and curious (almost like Aleu's in WQ - off-topic LOL), but she has some slight maturity to her even as a cub ("I'm not just a princess, you know; that's only half of who I am." - Kiara to Timon and Pumbaa). She knows that part of her is this princess that everyone will soon look up to for strength and wisdom, but she has no idea that her actions would lead her to uniting two prides into one (probably hinted the most in images and words during the songs, "We Are One" and "Love Will Find a Way") . . . I guess that was the other half? (or else it was Kovu, with him being the "chosen one" from the other pride)
Heck, she became friends with Kovu only because they worked together to get away from the crocodiles in the Outlands, not realizing that soon their friendship would blossom into love. Kiara's not afraid to stand up for what she believed was right, even if it meant hurting her father's feelings after he exiled Kovu for being a "traitor". ("You will never be Mufasa!" - anyone remember that?) She even helped Kovu return back to where their families were currently having one final battle, even though the idea of the two of them running away together would have been totally rebellious. ("Our place is with our pride. If we run away, they'll be divided forever." - Kiara to Kovu) Due to her observations of the two prides actions against each other (the hostility when Kiara first met Zira, the Outlanders' ambushed attack, Kovu's banishment from the Pridelands, etc.), she realized that it's better to settle their differences and become one mighty pride instead of the two of them running away and leaving their family trees stained with blood of unecessary killings.
So yeah, Kiara's not annoying; she's just a typical female character that only wants what's best for the ones she loves. (I will admit it: her laughing as a cub was slightly annoying, but it fit with her precocious character)

Meh, very right there Juuchan, I thought she was okay when she was an adult but she was a bit annoying as a cub (the singing in We Are One was awful to me, I couldn't stand it XD).

She didn't know any better as a cub . . . just like most of us were as kids (I'm 21, but I'm more childish than most . . . heheh.). I thought her singing in "We Are One" wasn't too bad . . . but then again, think about it: why else did she only get the second verse while her daddy sung the rest of it? (HAHAHAH. - off-topic: Just thank goodness that Aleu didn't actually sing in WQ . . . she only howled whenever she "sang" . . . think about it.) - Juuchan17

Actually, her singing in "We Are One" is one of my favorite things about Kiara!

I'm 12 and I like Kiara because she reminds me so much of me. And I think she is a better singer than Simba (call me nuts!) or maybe I just liked what she was singing... that's my favourite song in the movie anyway... and I personally think she is more annoying as an adult... but I still don't find her annoying at all. So cute when she says "I'm... Kiara." So cute she had a crush on Kovu when they were cubs and Zira got really mad when she said that lol. She's not spoilt, she's adventurous. So what if she's a princess, that's only half of who she is! I don't understand how some people are total Simba fans but hate Kiara... of course, most of those are total Kopa fans as well, and reckoned that it should've been Kopa in the movie. They say it would open up many more... possibilities. Really, I think that would make it more repetitive. Bout time we got a Lion Queen anyway! Like, as far as we know there was Aidhi (I'm not sure how to spell it), then there was Mufasa, then Simba. Probably a male before that too. But back on the topic of Kiara. If you think, bold, curios, headstrong andd caring is annoying, I pity you.
