Silver Snow: I never left. It was a school problem, and my major kept me away from the computer a lot . . . and I got very tired easily. I suppose that's what I deserved for wanting to be an art major. *sigh*
But yeah, those were good times. I miss them a lot.
---------------------------------
Zorro: And that would be terrible, yes. *weeps*
---------------------------------
And speaking of the people leaving . . . .
Could it repeat itself?
For example, I know a few of the popular artists that have recently left within the past few months and they have indeed moved their things to "better" places. (I will not say or confirm where they have put them, so please refrain from asking, thanks. I don't want to put them at risk of getting pissed at me, okay?)
But I have been wondering: Is there is a chance that their art will continue to be stolen, no matter where they move it to? If this is possible, what's the point of moving to a new site, just so new people (and maybe some of the few older people that know of their "new hide-out") could again steal their work without permission?
This is the Internet, and you really can't trust anyone, so why risk it again?
(This is one reason why I am not one of these people that takes the "easy way out" like a pissed-off chicken. I'm much stronger than that, of course . . . but then again, I really don't have anything worth stealing (except for my story ideas, but I'll leave that to the fans to talk about). So yeah . . .)
Again, no flame wars, plz, and DO NOT post links to any of the "new hide-outs" to any of the rebel artists (it's a privacy thing, so I wish to respect that - but if you want to, prepare to be flamed by the "said" artists.).
Thanks and rant on (safely)!

That's why Greykitty and Cat deleted their work from the site. Other members, like Suka, Kari and Maya, have left because of wars. Wars cannot be helped now, there are over 3000 members on this site and about 87% of them are known to cause trouble and because of that situation, the other 23% have become nervous and snappy with the new members. Like Cole the Coywolf, he posted me last night saying he'd had it with one member, I won't mention his name for Cole's sake but I suppose he knows who he is. Cole was very stressed and angry, and was even lashing out at me (not that I blame him if a member is having a go at him, which is not cool).
No offense, but why must some people be so stupid? I mean, the people that were "stealing" their work weren't (from what I remember) even members of the site! Now that their work is somewhere else, it'll just get stolen again (only if the "stealer" knows all of the "tricks of the trade" . . . I know (most of) them, but I know better than to steal good artwork from artists since I too am an artist.) . . . so where else can they go then?
Nowhere. There is no safe place on line anymore. Why can't these people get it?
Even if you have people looking at your work (whether they're friends or not), you're still at the same risks of getting your artwork stolen when it was still up here. How dumb is that?
And I agree: The sudden increase of "new members" has gotten on people's nerves (it hasn't gotten too bad for me, although I consider myself an "old-school" member of BS), but just deal with it. It might help you out with social skills or something you can use later on.
Besides, I really don't understand why new people are causing some members to leave in the first place. This is what happens when a site gets popular over a short period of time! It's only natural . . . and besides, I betcha some of the people that are leaving were just as annoying as the people that are causing them to leave at one point in their lives . . .

LOL - you never cease to amaze me with these pearls of wisdom, Juuchan. Really - no sarcasm here!
I agree totally...and rather than steal any of your thunder by trying to reword what you said just so I can have a say, I'll just stick to "awesome! I agree completely!"

Thanks, BaltoSeppala. I'm charmed, really.
*slightly off-topic* I suppose I know a lot about this because of a few reasons:
1 - I'm older than most members on here (I'm 20 years old . . . 21 in a couple of months), so I at least have some maturity points. Woo. (I can act childish too, but I'll do that when I feel like it is necessary)
2 - I'm an I.T. (Information Technology) major in college, so I understand the problems with the Internet (plus, I'm a techno geek . . . ).
3 - Uh, I've been on here for a while (*points at the text under my avatar*) . . . longer than most of you, I'm sure. (No, I'm not trying to sound sooty, it's the truth, gosh darn it.)
4 - I have something that most people don't seem to have: Common Sense. (Really, I mean, why do people think that everyone on this site knows what they're doing? No offense, but you have to admit it: Some of these people really are nothing more than people that join the bandwagon (like with the fanfic stuff, the crap that has taken over the fanart forum, and the obsessive "shippers"): They've killed our sense of originality with their dumbness.)
*sigh* You know, ranting is a good way to release your stress! ^__^

- Juuchan17 Because many of them are kids. Of course, there are many teenagers here who also behave so (after all, the lion's share of the membership is composed of teenagers). I have seen some teenagers here who express a remarkable capacity for logic, reason, emotional control, creativity, and empathy. Though they are certainly the exception. The same goes for but a VERY small percentage of the college-aged folks here. Because there ARE several college-aged folks here who believe they are "all that" simply because they ARE in college, and may have become, by reason of legality, adults (even though they seem to forget that their brain doesn't actually mature into adulthood, from it's teenaged proportions, until the age of TWENTY-FIVE...so, really, the hard truth is that they are NOT entirely mature or capable of great leaps of logic, no matter what they may so ardently believe). That's one reason I asked Steet to create this board! And it's worked WONDERFULLY!

Hmm, you make a good point. I will admit, I'm not perfect and not fully mature myself (I know I may be of "adult age", but I like acting childish at the appropriate times - Who doesn't?), but I try to understand how other people are.
I know no one's perfect (and everyone's different - because if we were all the same, originality would really be DEAD.), so I get where you're coming from, BaltoSeppala.
And I'm glad that there is a board like this here too. I just got into it recently (since I spent most of my time on Fanfictions and the Animation boards), so it's all new to me. But I like speaking my mind for once, and showing people that I'm more than my fics and art show me to be.

*GASP - it's a double post*
Yes, I know it's a double post, but really, I'm pissed about something again, thus I must RANT:
Today's point: Enough with the Shipping Already!
*sigh*
I'm not pointing out at people, but I thought that shipping was supposed to be fun - a coupling that you think is good and would like to see in fics, art, and videos.
And I have nothing against the Kodi/Kirby shippers out there (and I think it's an okay pairing) but still, I do believe it has worn out its welcome.
Good Lord, people! Can you obsessive shippers talk about something other than two male dogs that don't exist possibly doing things that you can picture them doing together as a couple? And the banners and icons . . . I see nothing wrong with them, but they aren't original anymore. Stop trying to change yourself just so that you can be "cool" or "popular" just because you support and worship the "Almighty Church of Gay Sled Dogs" or something like that. (And if that "church" ever happens, I'll be sure to kill myself.)
And please don't reply to this comment with retaliation or the such. (because I will contact a mod, and I have made this perfectly clear. If you can't understand this, you are an idiot. Seriously.
I really don't want to deal with you Kodi/Kirby Shippers and your "points". I know what they are, and you'll lose interest in it in due time. Just end it now, will ya? I think a lot of other members would appreciate it a lot if your "fandom" wasn't choked down our throats. And besides, I still don't want to lose my topic thanks to a stupid, pointless argument about male dogs sleeping with each other.
Hell, maybe I'll ship Ralph and Kirby or Kodi and Ralph to piss you guys off instead.
Or not. I have originality, and I'm not afraid to use it. Just grow up already.
. . . . Ah, that felt good.

About as good as it felt reading it. Agreed...I'm SICK of seeing more "Kodi + Kirby" banners and bandwagon support of the whole gay character thing! What a FREAKIN' mess!
Alright, WE GET IT. Some of you writers like writing homoerotic fan fiction (no matter how offensive it may be). We GET that it's politically-correct to be on the "gay pride" bandwagon, even if you're NOT gay.
What YOU don't seem to get (not you, Juuchan) is that JUST because WE'RE tired of seeing it, and being forced to deal with it and accept it (and I don't want to read anymore of your lame "HEY A**! IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ IT!!" diatribes), DOESN'T mean that we're automatically HOMOPHOBIC!
We...are...SICK...of...seeing...it...HERE. We are sick of seeing our favorite characters being TWISTED into something they are not just so you can satisfy your writer's angst! SICK OF IT! YOUR rights and angst as a writer DO NOT COME FIRST.
(And I AM a mod. Start a flame with me, and I'll deal with it accordingly!)

Ac wrote: Can I just add BaltoSeppala, that there is nothing wrong with homoerotic stuff, I don't want to see it personally but that is fine I'll keep my eyes closed.
Why are people supporting homoeroticBESTIALITY!? Jesus Christ, do people really get turned on by the thought of two male cartoon dogs doing each other!?
Well, there may be nothing wrong with homoerotic stuff in some peoples' opinions. But it still doesn't belong HERE...no matter WHAT anyone says.
I would be more careful about your use of language, though. "Jesus Christ", in the context you used it, is considered profane. Even apart from the obvious problem for those of a religious mindset (which could spark a whole new flame war), it is not considered acceptable use here on the forums.
