Antonio sudden froze, lowering himself to the ground. Beyond them, over in an empty clearing stood a group of canines, raising a ruckus with their howls.

Shane trotted silently up beside Antonio, and watched the wolves with pure interest.

There was a small dog with the pack of large wolves, and she seems just as ruthless as them, if not more. Rochelle quietly moved between Tony and Shane to look.

Shane cocked his head, watching them in awe.

There was a slight pause in their howl, they all seemed to stop at once, their eyes on the dog. The dog turned to look at one wolf in particular, he shrank back under her gaze.

Shane paid more intense attention on the female, not wanting to be seen by her.

There was a silent pause and then in a split second the female lunged at the wolf, grabbing him by his throat and shaking violently. None of the others stopped her, they merely watched.

Shane flinched at the sudden attack.

The wolf cried in pain and agony as the female ripped through flesh. Rochelle flinched at the sound of the wolf's snapping bones. By the time the female was finished, she had a bloody face and paws and the wolf lay, torn to peices, in a bloody puddle on the ground.

Shane just stared, in pure shock. The tale was right, one minute friends, the next tearing each other part.

"That's horrible.." Rochelle whispered quietly. Tony nodded, gulping.

Shane nodded in resonse, getting more afraid by the second.

"Let's..go.." Tony suggested quietly.
With a bone splitting snarl the female rose her snout to the air, echoing her shrill howl again.

Shane nodded, crouching lower as he turned to sneak off.

Tony turned and slunk off, back the way they came, Rochelle following beside Shane.
