Im going to rewrite Wolf Quest with a nicer Aleu; and Balto will tell her and the other pups abouthis wolf side from the beginning your welcom to(or not to LOL) read it and so is anyone else I dont know how long it will take thogh.
But back on subject

It's not the same thing. Balto never hated his heritage, but instead felt left out because of it. He never hated it. Though, he didn't exactly embrace it, he was ashamed for being outcasted. He never hated the wolf side.

Aleu, on the other hand, acted out in such a way that it made her seem snobby, irreseponsible, and much like a brat.

But what would the plot of the movie be if she simply accepted it? If she accepted it but was left out by it, then it would be a copy of Balto I. I think she did what she had to do to make a good story xD

Aleu is jus` stubborn and like all "Go away" type of attuidude and thinking she can do whatever she likes, but hmm.. that sounds like the average teenage girl to me

True, but I personally would have preferred if they didn't make a second movie at all. It wasn't necessary.

Honestly I don't hate Aleu, just her whinny attitude about how she disrepects/doesn't like the way she is...gets really annoying

From a more technical aspect, it annoyed me that she was only 1/4 wolf and yet she randomly becomes the alpha at the end of the movie--having no hunting experience. I personally would not want to throw all of my chips into the 25% of instinct that she has. I don't mind her as a character (although I agree that she is whiny), it was always the ending. She finally 'found her destiny' leading a wolf pack. What in the world???????

I know, right? That always seemed a little funny. But genetics are not always equal percentages, and Aleu appeared to be more wolf than her siblings. But since the movie itself didn't really explain that part, I came up with my own explanation. See my sig for the link to my stories and check out "Balto: Son". It also explains why and how the white wolf is both Balto's mother and the great wolf spirit, since the movies didn't explain that part either.

I agree 100% with you, I think everybody hates Aleu because of her attitude.

Now that I see the points that you all are saying, yeah.

She does act like a brat. Her character is nothing new from other characters. It seems that how she reacted has been used in many movies. Ugh. And yes, like people said in the past you are forced to like her.

Also.. Sequals tend to ruin movies. Balto was a good movie, why have sequals?

Like.. If they make a sequal for the new movie "Rio".. I would get so angry at the creators, cause how that movie ended, a sequal would just... Ruin the movie. That I have seen happened like 5 hundred times before.

Okay.. I veered off topic buuut anyway..

She might look good and cute, but.. her personality is ugh. And overused. Come on... Bring up something new guys! 8D

But I don't think creators care if they ruin movies. All they want is the money. That's how economics works right? Heh.
