Chicago is hellishly cold in the winter.

NEVER COME HERE IN THE WINTER.

Well I don't know about everyone else but I'd rather stay away from cold, when I go on vacation this summer we'll be making a stop-off in chicago so I could check out hotels then and my mum is more than happy to help and said she'd rent out the function room and at some hotels they do discounts on people staying at the hotel that are attending the event.
SGA a UK event will probably be organized but Drew is perfectly correct, one at a time, this is gonna be tough as it is but trying to do two at once is just plain stupidity.
tibb I love your new tags and the Whitewolf one is now my fave (of course).
August 27 is in the summer, I checked with my mum and both Uk and USA are at the end of summer break then and other countries too.
Balto_tracer has given me a brilliant idea about what we should be doing whilst at the event, Drew we could use your knowlegde on this one, how about a tour or side-trip to some sort of theme-park/museum, mainly as just talking for ages will get old fast, tables will be put aside for anyone that wants to draw whilst we're there (at the main event) but two days would give plenty of time for people to make to at least one of the two days.

Sorry about the long post guys.

Now once you get into tours we're talking more money muesums in Chicago aren't cheap and nor our the tours, a bus tour is iffy its just more liablity to worry about. Now if you stay in one place and organize activities. Psh heck I'd screen the Balto 4 Trailer for you guys if you got a like projector or something.

That's a much better idea, OK, ignore the whole tours/museums thing and we'll stick with it all at the hotel. Drew if you could do that it'd be awesome and if we could get a TV/projector screen people could show their fan-vids too.

I am quite capable of that stuff, I'm good with computers and all that. Me and Lakos 'team up represent the crew if Cat and GK can't make it.

I'll have to look that up! Thank you a whole bunch KodiWolf!! And as I said before, it is so wonderful that your coming!!

Swords of the Wolves- We graduate in the same year! lol. 2009 rocks!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--[EDIT]--
Seeing as how KodiWolfl has given us a name of a hotel, I have done some looking around on the internet. And I like what I found!! I'll post some links to the sites I went to:

-Palmer House Hotel *This one has pictures and IT LOOKS WONDERFUL!!! Just take a look and see what I mean!

-Palmer House Hilton *basic site for the hotel

-Directions ect *this is wonderful for everyone who is gonna fly in.

-Virtual Tourist *has reviews and photos

-Nother Site *yep, another one that could be of some help for looking up info about this hotel

That should be good for now.

And during my 'research', I descovered the following about this hotel:
-It seems to have a high satisfaction level
-It is located in the Loop/Grant Park area (don't know what that is)
-Has the following amenities (that we could get use of):
~~ lounge
~~ meeting/banquet room
~~ outdoor pool
~~ resturant
there is more, but I don't want to take up all that space to list it.

Well, that's all I'll put. If you have more info, refer to the sites I have provided for you. I hope this has been helpful to us!!

This is a site that has hotels in and around Chicago and should be on some great help to us. If I have time later, I'll go through it and take a look more, but everyone else is welcome to, too!

-More hotels

Geesh, I'm never going on vacation again. Anyway, I'm positive that the palmer house hotel is the one me and my family stayed at. the lobby looks the same.

I think 2007 or 2008 would be better. I should have my drivers lisence in the middle of summer 2007, but that doesn't matter if we have to bring a parent.

Tibb_wolf. I like the Balto, Aleu, Kodi, White wolf, and Jenna name tags. This is just a suggestion, but what if you choose one for the guys and another one for the girls?

DrewTheWolf: If everyone inder 18 has to have a parent with them, the parent could rent the car and we could have some one who is 18 reserve the hotel. Or we could see if someones parent wants to. Your also right about tours and meuseums not being cheep. It actually might be better if we did just stay in one spot. I don't know anyone with a projector, sorry.

Oy, sorry i'm so far behind on this.

Renting a car is by no means cheap.

But they'd still cost money. Let's face it; the only free way to get there is to drive.

Kari: Well to drive you need to buy fuel so it's actually not free, unfortunately there's nothing that comes free.

Silent wolf: My mum said she would happily reserve the hotel function room and most hotels do discounts for people attending any event held in thier function rooms. Taxi's or coaches would be a better idea but I'm not all to sure just how we'd manage to do that. Taxi's from airports would'nt be too hard but other than that I don't know.
I like the idea of one desing for boys and another for girls and another one for parents maybe?

Drew: I really like the idea of showing fan-vids there and the Balto 4 teaser trailer sounds really cool.

Ok. I think that's a good idea about what Silent Wolf said. We can have one nametag for the girls and another for the guys. Does everyone think that'll work?
