Atticus blinked for a moment then he smiled also. He softly brushed some of her hair from her face then he put his lips to hers in a kiss.

Heather blushed and kissed him back.

Without thinking, he deepened the kiss and moved his hand down onto her waist.

Heather smiled and broke away the kiss, a blush deep on her face.

Atticus blinked and quickly pulled his hand off her waist "I-I'm sorry..." he stuttered sheepishly.

Heather laughed a little and shook her head, "Nothing to be sorry about." She said, before kissing him agian.

Atticus smiled into the kiss and returned it. Once again hie put his hand on his side as he kissed her more deeply.

Atticus lay with his arms around Heather holding her closely. He let out a sigh and looked at her smile.

Heather had fallen asleep again, she slept with a content smile on her face.

Atticus sighed and softly kissed her, he was about to go to sleep until a knock at the door made him open his eyes. He sat for a moment not intending on getting up, but the knock came again and he groaned quietly then stood up careful not to wake Heather. He grabbed a shirt and pulled it on along with some jeans. "What great timing." he muttered sneaking out of the room, he went and answered the door flinching at who he saw.

A police officer stood before him with a fifteen year old boy in his grip. He was tall and slim, with light brown hair with bangs that fell into his amber eyes, but he brushed them to the side so he could see.

"You Atticus Soprano?" The officer asked.

"Yes sir."

"SO you're his guardian?" the cop asked.

"Pardon me?!"

"We caught him stealing wallets down at the strip mall, he said you're his guardian." the officer explained.

Atticus glared at the boy who flashed a sheepish grin. "Yeah he's mine.." Atticus muttered.

"You got lucky kid." the cop sighed shoving him into the apartment and walking off.

Once he was gone the boy said: "Thanks Attie!" he attempted to make a get-away but Atticus slammed the door before he could. "You're mad?"

"No Nate, I'm not mad..."

"Oh that's go-"

"I'm p*ssed..."

Heather woke up at the sound of stirring and a door slammed. She shot up, curious or what the noise was from. Heather pulled a shirt over head head and pulled up her jeans. She walked outside the room to see a 5 year old boy standing there, and smoke coming from Atticus's ears. She looked at both of them, confused. It was later now, around the afternoon. Heather stretched and stayed at the doo frame looking in but not saying anything.

"Shouldn't the Nuns be watching you or something? I'm busy!' Atticus snapped.

"Okay first, I live in an orphanage... there aren't Nuns-"

"There should be, they'd teach you to get a real job, not be a sidewalk theif!" Atticus snapped.

"Yeah that's great! Second, what do you mean you're busy-" Nate cut off when he noticed Heather and he blinked "OH! you where busy-"

"Shut up Nate!" Atticus snapped and he slapped the boy in the back of the head, not hard enough to hurt him though. Nate only burst into laughter.

Heather couldn’t help but laugh also, but that was just her. She could laugh at herself and not get upset.

“Yeah, you sure as h*ll interrupted a lot.” Heather joked, striding in and laughing. She looked at the boy and gave him a smile, then looked at Atticus. She wanted to ask how he knew the kid, but felt that’d be to straight up.

"Sorry, did I wake you?" Atticus asked, ignoring Nate who strolled over and flopped down onto the couch, as if he lived there, he took the satchel he had slung over his shoulder and sat it on the floor.
