"OK!" Misaki uncorked her pouch and withdrew the water it held. She bended it into all sorts of twists and turns, sending it flying through the air and back again.

As the water neared her, Tess reached out to touch it, her finger grazing the wet surface. "That is so cool," she said in awe, staring at it.

"Thanks!" Said Misaki, edging the water further onto Tess's hand, wetting her skin.

Tess giggled as the cool water brushed against her hand.

"Feels good, huh?" asked Misaki, retracting the water from Tess's hand and bending it back into the pouch.

Tess nodded. "I wish I could do that," she said, sounding wistful.

"It's a pretty cool thing," Misaki agreed, "But hey, you can fly. I can't."

"Good point," Tess admitted.

"Erm. So, anything interesting happen to you lately?" Kuilak asked awkwardly.

Misaki kept walking, not sure what to say next.

"It is," Setsuko said after hesitation. Her voice dropped to a whisper. "Do you remember the first time in the Caverns of Life?"

"Other than suddenly being here?" Tariq asked, gesturing to the land around him.

Rue nodded, her brown eyes taking on a far away look momentarily. "I do," she said. "It's hard to forget that."

Kuilak rolled his eyes. "Well, obviously. Other than being here."

Setsuko stared at Rue somewhat blankly. "That was your answer to the other question, too," she pointed out.

Rue nodded. "Right," she said.

Tariq grinned again, thiso ne lasting a bit longer. "Not much," he admitted. "What about you?"

Kuilak shrugged. "Nothing much here, either."

Tariq fell silent.

Tess slapped a fly that landed on her arm, scowling at the small insect.

Kya glanced up at the sky. "It's getting cloudy," she announced, stating the obvious. Sumi followed her gaze up into the distance. A soft, yet chilling breeze greeted his gaze. "It is," he agreed gravely, "And it's starting to wind like it would at home before a snowstorm hit."
Setsuko and Rue exchanged knowing, nervous looks. Setsuko knew these signs. This had happened the first time she'd come here...
