Archie heard himself cough, then his hard eyes shot open, but all he saw was ceiling. "Where am I?!" he screamed angrily, his voice echoeing in the empty hall.

Alright then.
Shay was startled by the sudden speaking, and bolted upright, dropping the writing utensil she had been holding. Her tensed, thin frame relaxed as she saw it was only the patient that had spoken. "Calm down," she said soothingly, her voice soft. She ordinarily spoke this way, softly yet audible, and hated when others talked loud.
