I got this, since everyone's so hesitant. This is a poem I conjured at 1 AM, while everyone else was asleep and I was alone at my computer...

Composition MW-PF02

Now I close my eyes at night
To shut away the grisly sight
Of shadows slinking down the halls
And demons pushing through the walls.
Though if they’re real is not my guess
I feel their presence nonetheless.

A creak downstairs, a muffled sound
Tempt not to peek the corner round
For if the shadows were to leap –
Or worse, look at me as they creep
With empty eyes down on the floor
I find they do well block the door.

Wherefore, then, is left to run
But forth at the abomination
Or back towards the way I came
To later play this demon’s game?
Think not too long, as sighs once more
Doth sound from down the corridor!

Pray for courage, pray for strength
Pray that I may brave this length.
Send a light to keep them back
To compensate for might I lack.
But pray not that more time I reap
Or pray the Lord my soul to keep.

Where’s God when you knock at his front door
Where’s God when you look through his window.
Trying to find God is like trying to catch a shadow in the dark.
Bang on the front door he won’t answer.
Ring the doorbell he won’t come.
Call his phone he won’t pick up.
Please leave a message at the beep.
Truth be told he won’t get the message.
God went away on a extended vacation.
So we are left to our own devices.
Try to ask for him to come back in prayer.
It won’t work.
God has ear plugs.
Try to look for God in the sky.
God has pulled the clouds down like a shade.
Try to speak to God.
Nope your speaking into thin air.
God isn’t there and he isn’t interested in speaking to you so take a number and wait in line.

Time

Waves role across me.
With each passing of the tide.
More of me is worn away.
My body is like the rock that the sea beats against.
Once jagged edges made smooth by the torrent.
The light slowly fades from my eyes.
Leaving a worn shell behind.
Inside the call of the ocean beckons me.
To slip in it’s cold embrace.
Looking up I glint the last rays of sunlight before falling into the black depths.
The tick of the clock in my chest ceases as the gears are engulfed by the water.
No longer will I be troubled in the solitude of the deep.
Memories grow dim.
The deep grants me stay.
To no longer be bothered by ghosts.
They used to follow in my footsteps.
Leaned behind every corner.
Under every rock and behind every tree.
They lingered.
Never resting.
They are not welcome here.
In my fortress of cold blackness.

Heres an example of what kind of stuff I write guys. and yes, we are going to record these at some point.

First one of my more typical darker ones.. this kind of writing will make up most of my bands first record.

I had one I wrote about wolves in 5th grade, but I can't find it. It was pretty good, too >.<

A Poem for Nightstar and Ohzu


In love forever ontop the mountain,
The sun sinks before us.
We haven’t a care,
Not any where,
Here ontop the mountain.

In love forever by the whispering stream,
The water washes our paws.
Deep in thought
Of the love being brought,
Here by the whispering stream.

In love forever on the grassy moor,
The wind is in our fur.
Gently, slowly, it blows
Sweet scents to my nose
Here on the grassy moor.

In love forever throughout snowstorms,
To the harsh wind we pay no heed.
Ignoring the snow,
Letting the wind blow
All throughout snowstorms.

In love forever this time of newleaf,
As new blossoms bloom.
I tell you I love you,
You reply, ‘me, too,’

Gah, this reminds me of all the poems I wrote for LA this year.

HAIKU

Unbroken snow trails
Soon will not be what they are
winter's guests have arrived

Where Do I Belong
where do I belong?
in the forest so strong?
where do I belong?
at home with mom?
where do I belong?
in the snowy end of the world?
yes that sounds as the place!
but is it really what I belive or am I just pretending?
sometimes it feel like something else is calling me!
is it the gorillas of the jungle?
is it the crocodile of the bush?

Alone,
Away,

All day.

Light calls to me,
Falls on me,
Beckons me

Darkness shouts,

For me to join it

The light cries out,
The darkness screams,
“You’ll have to choose your way

The light is good,
It sees me pray,
And comes to where I stood

So I know that everything ends
At some point I have to wonder

It all started off so wrong
I knew something was wrong
From the start I still remember
How bad I didn't want you to go out
That morning, the weather was cold and dark
It had been raining for days on end
And I never thought it see an end
Little did I know how life would change at 11:30
That morning,

I shouldve seen the signs that lead there
But I was too lost in my own little void
And now it's the one true regret I carry
I dont remember where I was when I received that fateful call
That something really bad happened
And at first it didn't really hit me right
That I might really never see you again
That's when it sunk in that this wasn't an ordinary call
And that you still hadn't returned to me
That's when I saw the news headline on CNN
"Commercial airliner crashes in local field, no reported survivors,
The only information we can release is the liner's ID number, 307"

What If I was the one she was mourning

And that's what I must do, I cannot give up

And I never even had a chance for a true goodbye
Now I just sat there in a surreal daze
Not sure how to comprehend what I had learned
I just broke down and said a short prayer

"Holy Father,

I know she'd want me to be strong
And move on, I need your guidance more than ever
This was my life, The only life I knew is gone
I dont know, please tell me how I can do this on my own"

That night I lay there alone
Still lost in my deepest sorrow and disbelief
They say everything happens for a reason
Well I still just couldn't understand
Why did I deserve this, what had I done wrong
In a matter of 12 hours I had lost everything
I had to live for and I just wanted to give up
But how would giving up justify these tragic times
I somehow knew there was something more out there
And as I lay there still I said to myself softly

"Carpe Diem, I must carry on"

"They say you should value everything in life
Love the people and appreciate the little things in life
While you're still around to enjoy them, don't let the past
Get in the way of the important things in your life
A little faith in these great words will take you far
But you must be strong for those in your life"

This is something that i find in life a lot. i can keep on trying to do something but never get any where.
