"Taka" the coughed up more blood making Taka recoil "you need to go back to-" the new wolf coughed up more blood "-to the pack,you're needed as alpha"
"ebony,no you're gonna be fine" said taka walking towards his brother
"dont be an idiot Tak,look you're needed as alpha,but-" he coughed and sank to the ground "but slasher will do everything to stop you" he smiled weakly "you'll make a good leader Taka" he gave a final grimace of pain then fell to the floor.Ebony had died.
Taka stood up "thats it then when you're better Maur i'm going back"

Balto heard Ebony from a distance that only took a few steps to get to him. He ran up to Taka and asked, " What was that all about? How, did, he, die?" He asked. Balto was always scared of Ebony because of his size, but, well, he still loved him as a brother.

"No..." Maura coughed, and weakly pulled herself to her feet. "Go to your pack... I'll come with you... I know my pack would help someone brave like you regain Alpha control... I-i can call for their help if you would like, but then your pack might just think you aren't strong enough to handle this yourself... But," She coughed again, and leaned on Taka for support. "I will stand by you through this, and I will fight for you forever, even if it costs my life..."

Taka smiled weakly at maura "most wolves would think you're a nutter sticking with me" he said, but he was smiling "Balto,I need you to send the signal,otherwise Slasher will taka control and we do not want that" he looked down at Maura again "are you sure you can make the journey? cause I dont want to strain you"

Balto shook his head out of trance and said, " Ok bro. Anything for you and Maur." He then ran to the pack and passed where his mother had died. He stopped, and then shook his head. He would have time for that later. He then ran to the pack and howled saying, " Taka is coming! Make way for the new Alpha and his mate! Ahem. Not yet though. This is just a signal. He will be coming shortly!" He then got off the boulder he was standing on and ran to his mothers death place.

Taka looked at Maur one last time "I'm gonna head off now follow as soon as you're ready" he barked before starting to run to the pack then he saw Balto "oh Balt" he said walking up to his brother "do you remember her? I mean you was only a pup when she died" he sighed "that was one of thne few times Whisper spoke to us before she ran off" Taka sighed "everything went wrong that day didn't it?"

Taka sat down and smiled weakly "I remember you wanted to stay with when I said lets get dad,you disobedient little mutt" he Taka sighed "I still miss her you know" he stood up and turned away trying not to let Balto see the tears running down his cheeks "come on" he said almost choked by sadness and the memories of Anius warm touch soft voice and caring manner.

Taka rolled his eye "can speak with you alone for a second balto" taka gestured towards a nearby clump of trees "shes a dog balt,you caant bring a dog into a wolf pack" he whispered "plus she got humans,if she goes missing what arer they gonna do?"

Taka smiled and walked forward,straight into a tree.He looked back at Balto.hold on he looked back at balto.Taka turned round a grin spreading over his face he could see Baltos brown fur and the leaves in the canopy overhead "balto I can SEE" he yelled
