Mammoth put Mammoth into a fight with a pitbull in his first fight.
Lenatei discribed her siblings to Katie carefully, giving her every detail.

Bashkei smiled. Of course, they hadn't experienced it yet. "Well, here, for a few months every year the sun doesn't shine. Only the moon comes over the sky. It'll make sleeping difficult, but you see the Northern Lights almost all the time." he said, looking down at Cachen's reactions. "Then, there's a time when there's no night...when there's nothing but sun shining."
The pitbull seemed cautious of the big dog. But Mammoth wasn't. From his size alone, he could beat any dog(or wolf for that matter)put into the ring. He lunged, and tore off the other dog's left ear. He knew Mako could hear animals, and wanted to give his Master a show.
Katie listened intently, eyes widening. "Really, Mama? All seven of them are there? How many sisters do I have? Brothers?"

Lena was amazed along with Cachen. "Really?" she asked. "Why?" she asked, curious.
"Yeah! Why grandpa?!" asked Cachen, hanging on every word.
Mako watched patiently, naturally a lot of people bet on Mammoth but some were dumb enough to bet on the other dog, so he'd make some money.
"Three males, four females." said Lenatei. "They never expierenced the pain that comes in life, they've spent all their lives in Heaven."

"'The only reason sun and moon live together so peacefully is because they have an agreement. Three months out of the year, each of them rules over both night and day. The rest of the year, they fight from sunup to moonrise and back again. They try to gain control, and so the spirits set up this pact...'" chuckling, Bashkei opened his eyes. "Your uncle Nava is very spiritual, at least your other Grandfather can vouch for that."
Mammoth grinned. Halfway into the fight, the pitbull was swaying from blood loss. Now was the time. Slowly, Mammoth circled, and then lunged. Not only ripping the jugular form the canine's throat, but breaking his spine in the process. There was a sickening crunch, a squelch of flesh, and a spray of blood form the life vein...then silence. Mammoth, covered in blood, growling deeply, bloody fangs bared savagely.
"Three brothers? Four sisters?" Katie smiled pleasurably, closing her eyes. "I bet a lot of them look like you, Mama."

"Yeah, I can." said Balto. "But of course there's a science explaination." he said. "The Earth is tilted slightly and we're so far north, at certain times of the year, we completely face the sun and other times, we completely face away from the sun." he said. "Its intresting."
Mammoth clapped for his dog. "Next victim." he ordered and a Doberman was put in the ring with Mammoth, given a megadosage of the agression boosting drug.
"Some do." said Lenatei. "Some look like your father, some take after your grandparents even, like how Cachen looks identical to Balto."

Kai blinked, a blank expression on his face. He laughed softly.
Bashkei laughed as well, murmuring to Cachen. "Please take after your other Grandfather, hm?" he was embarrassed, he hadn't understood a single word!
Mammoth grinned a bloody grin, and looked at the doberman, frothing at the mouth and snarling his way; too easy. They circled one another, growling and snipping. Actually the doberman got a bite or two in, only because of the drug, Mammoth thought.
Katie smiled. "Stands to reason you know about my first litter." she grinned wide, lowering her head. "Lena and Tai are so much like you."

"You have good things too." said Cachen. "You've got a fighting spirit we might need sometimes." he said.
"Naturally." said Lenatei. "You did name them after me." she said. "And you used one of mine and your father's nicknames for you for your son Cachen, though he took more after Kodi's father."
Mako smiled, waiting for more blood. He gave Mammoth a hand signal, telling him to make sure the blood splattered on the crowd.

"I'd like to see you name anymore, Cachen." Bashkei smiled slightly. Katie could vouch for his good sides, but Katie was not here, which killed him.
Katie laughed softly. "What can I say? He is my little North Star. When kodi and I weren't together, he was laways my bright light." a deep sigh came form her. "I miss him terribly. I miss all my pups."
Mammoth glanced over, and saw the signal. Grinning maliciously, he turned his insane eyes to the doberman, licking his mouth as he dashed forward, going for the jugular, but blocked. He skidded back, and ripped the nerves in the other dog's legs, leaving his on the ground, unable to correctly move his legs. With a sadistic smile, he ripped ripped the jugular from the doberman's throat, slashing towards the crowd. The vein once more spatter; this time on the crowd of men.

"You're brave and strong." said Cachen. "Well both of you are, a lot of things are simular." he said. "You're brave, strong, kind, and a lot of other things."
Lenatei nodded. "I know baby." she said. "But you'll see them again, and they'll stop that psychopathic Mako." she said. "...Dear, I want you to know, and I know its crossed your mind, even though I died to save you, its not your fault I died."
Mako smiled. The men actually got more excited at this. "Mammoth, I have a special challenge." he said. "Since no dog could beat you, I got something else." he said. A large wolf was brought in, though not nearly the size of Mammoth, it was still larger than normal.

Bashkei smiled lightly. "Maybe that's how Grandfathers are supposed to be, eh?" he asked, swivelling his ears to the noises.Martin, having had to fly back, finally found the small group. The little bird landed lightly on Balto's back, and chirped softly, acting much like a foolish little bird. OOC: Don't think I'd forget.  The smile left Katie's face, and she looked down. "I'f...if I hadn't been so caught up in playing, I could've spotted Mako...I could've ran." a rueful smile spread over her muzzle. "Now you'll probably say 'oh, sweetie, you were just a little pup at the time...what do pups do but play?'. Am I right?"Shock crossed over Mamoth's face, before a wide smile appeared; finally, a challenge! A real, honest to god challenge!

Balto cocked his head at the strange bird.
"Yeah, but its true." said Lenatei. "Pups don't know to avoid danger, keeping them out of trouble is the job of the parents."
"Enjoy." said Mako, smiling sadistically.

Bashkei nodded. "It's so very good to have, isn't it?" he chuckled, he himself had never known his Grandparents.
Martin gave a chirp, and hopped a bit closer to Balto's face. Her cocked his head as well, looking very blank.
Katie sighed, looking up. "I understand that. I'd do the same for my own pups." she said, closing her eyes. "But...I wish I could've understood."
Mammoth grinned, and looked to the wolf, who was looking about for any means of escape. Death would be its only escape.

"Grandpa, where have you been all this time?" asked Lena.
Balto sniffed the wierd bird, wondering what it was doing.
"I know baby." said Lenatei. "But at least we're togather now...nothing comes from blaiming yourself for something that isn't your fault...I blaimed myself at first for your siblings dieing and it made my life miserable."
Mako snapped his fingers and the wolf was given an injection of rage inducing drugs.

Martin tweeted once more, before pulling-quite sharply-a tuft of fur from Balto's neck. He looked up dumbly, and then flew away.
Tai looked at the bird flying away. "What happened, Grandpa?" she asked, moving over to stand beside Balto.
"But," said Katie softly, looking concerned. "Papa said that the pack needed food, and you went hunting. It wasn't your fault...." she nuzzled her Mother.

Balto cringed. "Wierd bird." he said. "It bit me."
