After all we need to know if Midnight is really dead. Luke kept crying but buried his face in Winter's soft fur. Surf began to wake but was in too much pain to talk, her head was trobbing.

Mara followed Yunfly back to the den silently, head down, tears running down her face. He was gone. Her dad was really gone. It was too much for on pup to bear. When they reached the den, she ran to Luke and Winter. They had become two of her best friend's there. Sunflower got to the entrance of the den when a thought crossed her mind. What if Midnight wasn't dead. May be by some miracle, he had lived through the fall. "I'll be right back, Yunfly," she said before trotted off back toward the mountain. All Mindight could remember was falling. He hit the ground hard. Everything went black.

Tears streaked through her face as she stumbled to Winterfall and the others. She collapsed at his side and burried her face in his fur. Winterfall looked around. Man, he had a lot of friends. Nice change. After all, he hadn't had any before he was banished and met Wanderer. He wondered if they were looking for him. He looked up quickly and saw nothing. He was being stupid. They wouldn't find him here. They'd never look in the mountians. He was safe with his pack. where he belonged. He had never been more wrong.

"Guys, listen," he said softly, "Midnight was a great member of the pack and a great friend adn we'll-" his voice broke "- we'll nevre forget all that he's done for us."

She couldn't go any closer. There wasn't any hope anyways. He was gone. She ran back to camp and cuddled Mara in comfort for herself and her daughter.

He tried to move but it hurt too much. "Go back to sleep," a gentle voice said. "Who... there?" Midnight struggled to say. Sunset padded over to the black wolf. "I'm Sunset. You took a whether nasty fall there. It's best you get some rest. I'll take of you." Stream ran after a rabbit that was almost impossible to catch. It kept running out of her grasp. "Get back here," she snarled finaly jumping on her prey. Flower nuzzled Winter, seeing the tear. "We'll all going to miss him," she said softly.
