"He deserves provoking" muttered Jay, nuzzling into her shoulder "Your brothers a jerk"

Hype removed his eyes from the mirror and stared straight ahead, taking a deep breath through his nose to calm himself. He didn't like when others started fights with him for no good reason, especially when he knew they were messing around with his sister.

Runt placed a hand on the back of his head and answered soothingly, "Now why do you say that... he didn't do anything to you."

"He irritates me" moaned Jay, and that was really the exent of it. He'd just taken a disliking to Hype and happened to be generally unpleasant.

Hype squeezed Poison's hand back, gripping her fingers between his. He was calm by then, but if this 'Jay' started with him one more time...

Runt sighed and stroked the back of Jay's head. "Well you're gonna have to get used to him sometime."

"Eventually, when he tops being a prat" Jay murmered, still with his face in her shoulder.

"Hey," said Runt. "You realize this is my brother you're talking about, the one who took care of me since I was four and with no parents or place to live, who always gave me his food and water and tucked me in at night while he stayed up all night to keep watch, and you're calling him a brat. I would watch your words; I've killed more than one person in my lifetime."

Hype leaned his head back against the seat, letting his eyes close. He hasn't realized how tired he was, and it was beginning to get dark.

Jay whinced "Sorry" he sighed kissing her cheek lightly "I'll try and get along with him then. I mean, he can't be all that bad if he looked after such an amazing person" he said, flashing her a smile.

Runt smiled warmly, all sternness vanished. "Thank you." she replied, kissing the side of his head.

Jay heard her and bit his tongue to avoid retorting, instead cuddling back up to RUnt.

Hype opened his eyes and sighed softly, not able to get any sleep knowing who his sister is falling for.
