She said "I hate you" to Balto because she was angry at him for not telling her and giving her false hope of getting a human as is explained above she didn't really mean it.
She loves her father but was upset and sometimes we say things we dont mean when we are upset or angry.

Eh I hate Aleu for a lot of reasons but I should probably only say the main ones.

I don't like her because, yes she was a cry baby, but along with that she was a brat too. Dude, she was 1/4 wolf and ran away from her dad because she didn't like her heritage much. She didn't bother trying to understand her father's intentions, and didn't even stop to think about consequences or anything.

They made her seem more wolf-like than Balto when she was 1/4 wolf 3/4 Husky. It didn't really seem right to me. Plus, along with all that, she hates her heritage and then she starts embracing it? What??

She's too stubborn and if she didn't get what she wanted she'd run away and cry. Too much of a brat if you ask me. I can't handle those types of people. So that in a character? Well, doesn't go well.

Kodi, on the other hand, isn't too much of a brat, so therefore he's alright. However, the members of his team, I'm a bit iffy on.

I belive Aleu's base chacter had potential, but by making her a cookie-cutter rebelious teen, it was ruined. I also find the whole "trying to find where I fit in" premisis really overused.

I agree. I don't really understand. Personally I think most people are just being dramatic because WQ was such a disappointment and are reflecting that on her. Aleu is my favorite of the pups. She's feisty, independant, and come on, she leads a wolf pack! That's pretty cool. And then people complain that she's whiny and stubborn. Like you said, she was going throuh a tough time, and really, everyone has flaws. Her stubborn streak was what made her very driven and ot her what she wanted in the end.

You mean exactly like what Balto did in the first film?

Personally I felt the second film was a major let down, but I liked Aleu's basic character and personality. I just believe the writers took it in an overused direction. Personally I dont think the Native American mysticism was really necessary. I find the topic interesting, but as I said so many years ago when I first saw it, "I'd rather have my Native American religion in a documentary then worked into Balto"

There are people who hate Aleu? How is that even possible ? Ales is the awesomest character ever!! In Balto movies. Just because thE second movie sucked doesn't mean she sucked!!

No one stops to think that the second movie sucked cuz of her.

Shes a brat. She's annoying. Who would like her? There's really noreason. Everybody thinks she's SO awesome. Why? Tell me that, please. Also, she only was in 1 outof the 3 movies... While almost all of the other 'important' characters stayed in all three. She stuck up, and she wonders why no one wants her..? Duh! I think a lot of us know the true reason. She just comes up to this random pack and yay! She's the new leader and everyone loves her to death.

If she has known that she was part wolf and looked mor like it than her dad, and her brothers and sisters from the beginning she probably woldnt have hated it; maybe even been peoud of it. She was looking forward to getting an owner and hoping it wold happen every day then suddnly all her hopes were dashed-because she was part wolf. as she had time to get used to it and Maru-and the bear Spirit "inner Knowing" helped her see what she was but she still felt lost her place wasnt in Nome i think she knew that inside ever since she fond out she was part wolf.
Idont think she ever really hated her dad She was just angry at him for not telling her sooner, Balto mistakingly thoght it was better not to tell her about her wolf heratage, to protect her from being teased about.

I think Shes breave beautifull and intelligent, just a bit misled and confused She stood up to Niju, and his trio of sisekicks Nuk, Sumac and Yak they wer stupid and gutless in my opinion! But they turned ot be OK when they diddt have Nuju anymore! And once Aleu saw that her destiny was to lead a wolf pack she was happy with it.
She realised that Nava wasnt strong enoght makethe swim to the breaking up ice bridge thats not stupid, and her eyes are pretty! one thibg idoagree with thogh is her voic was anoying maybe one day ill rewite Wolfquest as a fan fic!
