Cheyanne's sad face lighted. "Zasshu I'm proud of you. I know you're aching and I understand you're going to need a lot of help getting around for a few days or maybe weeks." Cheyanne licked Zasshu's cheek.

Cool thanks, and I totally understand. I know, trust me , writer's block sucks doesn't it? (when ideas come to a standstill)

"Maybe so Cheyanne, my sweet. But I will still try to not be too much of a burden to anyone in my weakened state." Zasshu told her sweetly as their den finally came into view.

" Zasshu, you won't be. I swear. You're the Alpha of the pack, so you'll need all the help you can get. Even if I'm pregnant, I'll help." Cheyanne said as she called to her pups." Kids! Zasshu's alright!" She yelled as the pack cheered out.

Zach came immediately running up to his dad.

"Dad! You're alright! I... I thought I lost you forever..." Zach said sadly, nuzzling under his father's chin.

"Now, now, Zachary. Don't be sad. I'm alright, everything's going to be okay." Zasshu cooed, nuzzling Zach back. "And I am so very proud of you, my son. You fought bravely and fearlessly to defend those you love today. I am now certain that you will be a great leader in the future ahead of you. And your mother and I could never be more proud."

"That's right, Zach. Oh and also, Zach. I'm sending you and Carla out to hunt. Be back before dark." Cheyanne said.

Zasshu then plopped down onto the ground inside the den, letting out a raspy exhausted sigh and stretching out his sore and aching limbs. He then tried to curl up comfortable, suddenly shivering from odd chills going through his body.

"Honey? Are you cold?" Cheyanne asked curling up against Zasshu and looking up at him.

"Yeah... a little. But not so much with your help." Zasshu smiled lovingly at Cheyanne, pressing his nose against hers tenderly and "kissing her" (or at least, uh, i think a nose touch is a kiss for a wolf, correct me if I'm wrong), then tenderly licking Cheyanne's neck in the same passionate way that he had back when they had last mated in their secret cave.

"Cheyanne, why did you not tell me sooner than you were going to bear my pups once again?" Zasshu asked her, confused at why she had waited up until now.

(That's how wolves kiss, I'm sure. Either that or they lick the end side of the muzzle. They might not even do that. I'm not entirely sure.)

Cheyanne smiled." Alright. "

"Zasshu the reason I hid it is because I knew you wouldn't let me fight Bear. Zasshu, I didn't tell you, so I could protect you." Cheyanne said with a scared tone."Zasshu I know I should've told you, but if I didn't you wouldn't let me fight, and then I'd loose you, and me and the pups would be wrecked. "Cheyanne said starting to cry, as she thought what she had done was so wrong.

"You mean... you did all that for me? To protect me? And you think there's something WRONG with that?" Zasshu licked away all of Cheyanne's tears. "Cheyanne, if it weren't for you, I'd be dead right now. If you hadn't helped me get back here to our territory, I'd probably be still lying on the ground back at the scene of the fight, bleeding to death. And then there would have been no chance for me. Cheyanne, baby... you saved my life."

"Of course I did. I'd never get over myself if I loosed you. You mean so much to me, and ours pups." Cheyanne said licking Zasshu back.

Yeah I was thinking Zasshu and Cheyanne could have just 3 pups this time, two sons and one daughter. the first one would be a boy, Brett - the second a boy, Seth - and the last a girl, June. i chose Seth for one of them because that is my name in real life. so anyways, what do u think of these?

"I love you Cheyanne, enough to even die for you. I do hope you know that." Zasshu replied, licking Cheyanne softly in what he knows is the most tender spot in her neck as if to prove his point more through demonstration. "But I don't plan on going down anytime soon. I promise you that."

That's fine with me. I like those names.)


Cheyanne smiled. "Yes, I do know that."

Cool. So we'll use those names then.

"Hey Mom," Zach said, approaching Cheyanne from behind. "We're back from the hunt. Carla and I caught a caribou."

"Great job!" Cheyanne said. "I hope you like it." Carla said smiling.
