Katie looked around uncomfortably. Looking of after Maddy, then to her dumbfounded compainions. "Scotty!" She snapped finally.

"What?!" He snapped, looking back at her quickly.

"Go after Maddy. I don't want her wandering around here alone."

"You've got to be kidd-"

"-Go!" She snapped.

Scotty growled and stood, hurrying off in the direction Maddy had gone.

"Let me go," Maddy grunted, but the man just pulled her closer to his chest. She felt terror as she tried to thrash away from him.

"Ah, come on." The man growled, tucking her under his arm and giving her shoulder a rough squeeze. Maddy struggled more, trying to duck out of his grasp.

"Seriously, go away." She said, her voice in a thicker panic.

"And what if I don't want to?!" The angry drunk yelled at her.

"Oh Scotty, go find Maddy. Because suddenly you're a babysitter!" Scotty mocked, stuffing his hands into his pockets. "Not a bloody nanny-" he cut off when he heard the sound of commotion ahead. When he hurried toward it, he saw Maddy and some old drunkard. "Hey, leave her alone!" he snapped when he man yelled at her, hurrying over.

Maddy smiled with pure relief at the sight of Scotty, she whimpered and tried to twist out of the man's grasp.

"Who is that!?" He accused, "You're boyfriend or something!?" he yelled louder, fingers digging onto her soft arm.

Maddy whimpered some more and looked at Scotty with a terrified expression.

Sin heard some yelling on the other side of the resteraunt and frowned, wondering what was happening.

"What?" Scotty looked around then back at the man. "Boyfriend? Me?... I'm eighteen..." he knew it was no use speaking to a drunk so he again just snarled. "Stop it, let her go: you're hurting her arm!" he snarled, he accent clear an apparent.

"Oh yeah mister Brit? Who's gonna make me." he snarled.

"Sin would." Maddy grumbled quietly, though her arm hurt.

"I'm English..." he corrected bitterly, hating when he was called British, "...and honestly, I'm not one to talk. It'd be my pleasure to escort you outside if you don't let my friend go... I'd be glad to kick your a**!" he snapped, moving so he stood before the man.

The man rolled his eyes and shoved Maddy forward.

"Fine, not like I care." he growled. Maddy stumbled and tripped over her own feet, falling to get knees and scrambling to her feet. She shivered and staggered next to Scotty.

Scotty stepped protectively infront of the younger, watching the man with focused, green eyes.

The man grumbled something but walked off, disappearing behind the corner. Maddy didn't want to know where he went, she whimpered just a bit more and looked at the large bruise all ready forming on her arm.

Scotty looked over his shoulder at her. "Are you alright?" he asked gently, turning turning all the way around to look at her.

"Fine," Maddy muttered, still looking at the coloring bruise forming on her arm. She felt so lame, young, weak. What was wrong with her? She couldn't even go to the restroom without having to get someone to come and rescue her. Maybe Sydney would be okay with that, but not Maddy. Her pride had been hurt, she felt unable to accomplish even the simplest of tasks. She took in a small, short, breath of rotten smelling air and looked down the hall where the man had gone. She still needed to use the restroom.

"I'm gonna try to find the restroom." She laughed once, angry at herself, "Again." She muttered. "I'll be fine, go back to the table." She said in a small voice.

Scotty looked at her curiously, but then nodded. "Alright. Be careful.." he said, and with that he turned to walk back to the table. As he walked, he tried to think: would Maddy want the others to know what had happened? He couldn't decide, he just groaned, and kept walking.

Once Maddy was finished with the bathroom, she returned next to Sin and Sydney, sitting in between them. She pulled at her sleeve, hiding the deep bruise on the inside of her arm. She didn't want them to think that she couldn't handle herself.

"Where's our waitress?" Scotty voiced, Marty nodded vigorously.
