Jenna watched him walk inside, "But why?" she said to herself. She sat and stared at the house, she began to feel trapped, the wire mesh walls seemed to close in on her. She began to bark, panic, she back up the back and whine, looking from side to side, wide eyed and scared.

Rosey: Easy girl. She called out the window with a smile. She closed the window slightly and then she turned around and played with her toys.

Jenna put her ears back and lay down, she took a deep breath, "hey, if it's what they want... it's what I want... calm down." she said to herself, she lay her head on her paws and closed her eyes, she couldn't help but wonder where Balto was, she opened her eyes and looked through the fence.

Balto:
He snuck up to Jenna's cage. He put his paw through the opening. He smiled and licked her cheek through the fence. Hey hunny.

Jenna smiled and licked him back, "hey." she said, she glanced at the house, "They passed another law." she said softly.

Balto:
I know it's awf- Jenna's owner came outside. He grabbed Balto and put him in the cage with Jenna so he wouldn't get in trouble. That was strange.

Steele & His Owner:
They walked around the town. Steele peeked in the backyard that held Jenna and Balto he grinned evily. Mutt. Hottie. He winked at Jenna and walked off, strong and tall.

Jenna nuzzled Balto and narrowed her eyes at Steele.

Nix sat at the edge of town, his eyes on the houses, the dog hadn't told him what was happening, he stepped out of the shadows and waited.

Steele:
He was hitched to the sled and with one simple word, he and his team shot off. Steele's Owner had to go to the train station to pick up supplies for the town.

When nothing happened, Nix shrugged and walked back into the trees, he trotted back to Balto' pack.

Jenna shook her head, "This isn't right.." she said.

Balto:
Well, they really hate wolves so I guess it is just for their selfish reason. And it isn't fa- The game warden started to ride around town. Just taking a quick peek. Balto panicked and hid inside the dog house.

Jenna watched the game warden and wagged her tail, she sat in front of the dog house to keep his gaze from it. She barked and wagged her tail harder, she watched him walk by, when he walked around the corner she let out a sigh of relief.

Jenna's Owner:
He grabbed Balto and pulled him into the house. He brought him to the bathroom and gave him a quick brushing and hair cut which smoothed his fur out like Steele's and he dyed Balto's fur to make him look like this:

Jenna sat by the gate and waited, she watched the house, her ears perked in interest.

Jenna's Owner:
He put him in the cage and smiled. Now he looked like a sled dog and nobody would notice. An hour later Jenna's owner Bill took Balto to the vet to get his shots and a sled dog certificate. He brought Balto back and put him in the kennel with Jenna.

Jenna tilted her head to one side, "Balto?" she asked, she looked at him squinting. "What happened?" she asked, she had to admit, he looked good like a sled dog, as well as a wolf, she grinned.
