"But why did you change and I didn't?" asked Shenkin, looking around the area. He was just so confused by what happened, but strangely, he felt glad he was alive, he wasn't sure what it was. He just wanted to know why the whole world had changed without him.

Katie sighed and decided to take the easy explanation. "The spirits have a different plan for you, Shenkin." she said with a smile.

Shenkin looked at her and gave a nod. "... Alright... I'll trust you, little dove..." he said, in a stark contrast to his adult self.
Several wolves began to come out of their dens to investigate.

Katie would look to the other wolves, and nod her head to them. She let Shenkin down. "I come to seek your alpha." she said in a soft voice. "I am Bashkei's daughter."

An old, grey fured male wolf walked up. "Katie, you've gotten big..." he said giving a small smile. "I'm Alpine, remember me?"

Katie smiled cordially. "Alpine, how could I forget? You've gotten... Silver. And regal." she said with a chuckle, before looking to Shenkin. "I have a favor to ask. You see, there is a pup who needs a good pack and much love given to him. Perhaps, you could take him?" she asked, presenting Shenkin.

Alpine smiled. "Don't worry, we'll take good care of him," he said, smiling down to the little pup. "Sakak already told us you were coming, it's no problem. Plus, you're Bashkei's daughter, it's the least I can do."
Shenkin smiled as several puppies came to greet him and wagged his tail. He then looked up to Katie. "... I'll miss you... but I think I'll be ok here."

"Thank you." Katie said softly, looking down to Shenkin. He'd have many friends here. There was even a silver little she wolf his age, who seemed happy to greet him.
"I know you will. Be good, I know they'll be good to you." Katie said and nuzzled the pup, her friend.

Shenkin nuzzled her back and waved lightly. "Goodbye... Little Dove..." he said, giving a small smile as he looked around at his new friends.

Katie smiled sadly. "Not goodbye; just for now." she said. She would give a nod to Alpine, before turning to leave, comforted in the fact Shenkin would be okay.

As Katie left, the pups and Shenkin started playing under Alpine's watchful eyes.
OOC: That a good place to end it?

OOC: Yes. That was nice. And I certainly didn't see that direction it took.

OOC: Yeah, but it was a really touching ending. Both for the main characters as for Shenkin getting his second chance at life.
