"Do we need to bring anything that's inside the cabin?" Tariq asked Rue. He didn't think so, but it wouldn't hurt to check, considering the scolding he would get if he forgot something importnat. To his relief, Rue shook her head. "No, I think we're good," she said.

One by one, Setsuko's family emerged from the cabin. Sumi and Kanna carried staffs much like the one Setsuko had used the previous times she had met with Rue. Kuilak had his bow and arrow. Misaki tugged along a slim pouch, filled with water almost like a soft, squishy water bottle. Setsuko was last out, having needed time to strap Li to her back. "Why are you bringing your bending supplies?" she inquired as she surveyed what her children had retrieved. Sumi glanced at his staff. "They can be used for defense as well," He reminded. Kanna nodded in agreement. Setsuko turned to Misaki. "Well, what if someone gets thirsty, or hurt?" Misaki explained simply. "Ok then." Said Setsuko.

"We ready to go then?" Rue asked briskly. Getting no negatiive replies, she began to walk forward, careful to go the opposite direction of the Caverns.

Setsuko followed the winged group, then Kuilak, then their children. Setsuko quickly caught up with Rue.

Rue smiled at the bi-bender.

"How are you?" asked Setsuko, wanting to start a conversation with an old friend. There was still things they probably needed to catch up on.

Kuilak approached Tariq. "Erm...hey," he greeted. Well, he had to try and make some friend, and the other choices were either children or women.

Ooc:// Yeah, I know...dunno why I blanked on what to post.

"I'm fine," Rue said. "What about you?"

"Heym" Tariq replied. A small grin appeared briefly, but soon disappeared.

"Pretty good. Thinking a bit about our last meeting," Setsuko admitted, remembering, quite clearly now, that day twenty-one years ago when she met Rue for the first time.

"So, um..." Kuilak began awkwardly. His social skills had never been top-notch.

Rue nodded. Now that Setsuko had mentioned it, small, frequent flashbacks assailed her. "I am too. It's kind of hard to forget," she admitted.

Tariq wasn't sure what to say either, so ended up staring at the ground. "So..." he started, pausing briefly. "Kinda weird how we ended up here, isn't it?" he asked.

"Yes," Setsuko agreed, "And yet at the same time, it seems impossible to remember."

"Yeah. Weird, indeed," Kuilak replied for lack of better response.

"I don't know how I forgot it before coming back here. It was like a distant dream or something." Rue frowned, but then her face cleared.

"Even weirder how they," he gestured towards Rue and Setsuko," Had already met."

Setsuko nodded in agreement.

"I know!" exclaimed Kuilak. "And she never even mentioned it..."

Rue lapsed into silence, unsure of how to restart the conversation. "At least I remember now," she said finally.

"It didn't seem like Rue even remembered though. I don't see how they could've forgotten," Tariq added.

"Maybe so," Mumbled Kuilak, thinking the situation through.

Misaki trotted up to Tess. "Hey Tess, wanna see something cool?" She asked.

"Yeah!" Tess said, immediatly curious and excited.
