Sadie nodded, and padded in that direction. A splashing sound soon reached her ears, and teh ground started to turn to mud beneath her white paws.

Sadie shrugged. "I guess so." She then stopped, suddenly bidden by an urge to say something.

"I'm not worked up about anything," Sadie answered. She longed to start walking again, but was unable to, without doing the deed that needed to be done first. This was more emotional than a regular moment between them, Sadie could feel it. So she leaned forward, and licked him lightly on the cheek. Steeling herself with a large breath, she murmured, "I love you, Rio."

Sadie was disappointed by his reaction, and stunned by her words. SH ewasn't sure whether to walk alongside him, or run.

Sadie's lips curled upward in a sudden, bright smile. "You do?" she asked, voice slightly husky. Her amber eyes looked at him, slightly disbelieving. SHe was afriad this was a dream, and that she would wake up, the moment torn away from her.

Sadie was overcome by joy, and felt light-headed from emotion. With a sudden urge, she licked him once more, on the head, loving the way his fur rasped against her tongue, his scent that filled her nose.

Sadie's smile widened as she felt his tongue rasp against her fur in response. Suddenly, she became playful, almost puppy-like. She yipped softly, and nudged him with her nose, smiling still.
