Silversnow raced off after her friend, her long legs flying over the ground swiftly. "Nighstar!" she said, her voice slightly complaining. She struggled to catch up with her friend, eventually running slightly behind her.

"Yes?" Nightstar called out, the joyous freedom clear in her voice.

Silversnow shook her ehad, not faltering in her long strides. "Nothing," she said, grinning slightly.

After a few minutes of running and laughed, the two reached the destination that Nightstar had planned on: The river the divided Tribe of the North from Tribe of the East. "Wanna go swimming?" Nightstar asked slyly, putting a paw in the river. "As long as we're either in the river or on this side of land, then we aren't really trespassing, right?"

"I guess not," Silversnow said, then immediatly bunched her muscles and took a running jump into the river, splashing her friend with tiny droplets. Silversnow floundered in the water a bit, then regained control and smoothly swam to the edge of the wide river, a wide grin on her face. "Come on in Nightstar!" she said ahppily.

"What, are you blind?" Nightstar teased, "I was in first!" It was true, of course, but she didn't press on about it. The clear water felt cool and refreshing at her paws. She lowered her body in order to get in deeper, allowing the relaxing sensation to cover her entire self, soaking her fur. She giggled as small fish swam past, tickling her pelt.

Silversnow splashed some water on her freind, back pedaling with her paws to do so. It doused her face, and Silversnow twisted around swimming to beside Nightstar.

"Hey!" Nightstar complained good-naturedly. Then her attention turned as another wolf came down the pathway, stopping dead in his tracks. "Nightstar? Silversnow? What are you doing here...dose Reflection know?" Nighstar flushed furiously. "What are you doing here, Ohzu?" She countered. "I wanted to swim. And I did get the Leader's permission." Nighstar smiled a bit awkwardly. "Well," She began a bit nervously, "Why don't you swim with us?" Something stirred in Nightstar's heart, something the young wolf didn't quite understand. But it made her want Ohzu to stay and swim with her.

Silversnow looked at Nightstar, then at Ohzu. She shrugged subtlely. "The water's fine," she added, not sure of what else to saye xactly.

"Well..." Ohzu was thoughtful for a moment, wondering whether or not it was OK to do so. He made his decision. "Oh, ok." He slid in, water soaking his wood-brown pelt. Nightstar grinned, splashing Ohzu, then Silversnow. Ohzu barked in surprise, then laughed, splashing Nighstar back.

SIlversnow shook her head, sending water droplets flying onto Nigtstar, wetting her slightly more than she already was.

Nightstar laughed lightly again. For the first time since she was a young apprentice, the wolf felt truly free again, content with the friendship bonds she was creating, and simply enjoying what fate held in its paw for her. She ran around and splashed playfully in the cool, running water, giggling like a pup as the water landed on Silversnow and Ohzu.

Silversnow dove under the water, then came up spluttering. "I should've vlosed my mouth," she said, her silver fur dripping. She coughed, clearing traces of water from her kunngs.

"Breath, Silversnow!" Nightstar said, perhaps too cheerfully. "You'll be fine." She giggled a bit at the sight of her friend's screwed-up face.

Silversnow coughed one last time, then sucked in a big breath, finally able to bretah. "You know, I tried that," she said. "Underwater," she added, miming herself breathing underwater and choking.
