The Calling:

As I lie there on the cold soft bed
I can hear voices inside my head
I gripped my blankets and hide my face
Hiding my eyes from the darkness

I can feel that me time is coming too an end
Before dawn comes I will surely be dead

I hear the front door open with a bang,
My father is home and he sounds very mad

I can hear him coming closer and closer
My heart pounds with each creek of the stairs

The door to my bedroom opens with a bang
I can feel fear well up inside of me

But why? The life I am about to leave behind
Will be better than the one where I tricked and lied

I hear the sound of metal against cloth and my fear rises
I feel the pain in my ribs and then the sound of laughter

And I hear no more laughter, but voices, voices...
It is the calling of death I feel no more pain... I feel peaceful

My eyes sip closed and the light dies from my eyes
I feel pain no more in fact I feel something else...

I feel freedom....

This was the most random thing I ever wrote! But I like it.

accidents
as i walk i stop and shout
no stop
i run but am to late
a car crashes and a truck
swirves i hear the scream
and then it becomes silent
i then walk up and see a friend in need
but i was not there in time
i was not fast enough it was an accident
i thought he did not mean to so i tell myself that it
was an accident but i know it was not
i cry and stare and
say
why?

Creation
a blank canvas, edges neat
bursts colours red and blue
This is creation
You have the front set
See the sunlight baking through

The woollen carpet, stained green
sprouts forests of paintbrush wood
This is creation
You have the front seat
I would sketch it if I could

Dazzling creatures fill the earth
like a collage on the papers face
This is creation
You have the front seat
Smell the flowers of acrylic lace

The artist smiles, a masterpiece
The jigsaw of the earth
This was creation
You had the front seat
Of this worlds first birth


The class of room 14
Blindfolded they babble on relentlessly
reflect their vanity in smiles
Hatred is closed within them
as their bags untip, minds empty
a landfill of sums doom over
drones doodles and dints
they turn to the wrong page
Whilst their own book bites
a haphazard remark. Paper planes launch
the tribes clash in communication
Clock ticks and the rain drills
all ignoring life’s important lesson
vectors and trigonometry last
for yawn stretching minutes
it attacks with dangerous angles
they tap out a message in Morse code
The bell sounds like a hunter’s horn
the herd billows out of ancient doors
Onto vast tarmac landscape
Tomorrow blindfolded they will babble on

Tribute to Homework

I really, really hate homework
It bores you to the bone!
We should be out in the sun,
Not doing work at home!
I never get the questions right;
Usually they’re all wrong!
It is morbidly pointless,
And it always takes too long!
They say that homework’s useful
‘Cause it keeps you from getting dumb.
But they could make it more interesting
And make it much more fun!
Why must we learn fractions?
Or who was Sir Francis Drake?
We could be throwing wild parties,
And stuffing lots of cake!
So let’s demolish homework!
And with it our mind and skill.
Death to all homework!
Kill! Kill! Kill!

There's a friend if you look inside my heart, you can tell me the pain which you feel.

I wrote this to a friend of mine, and he told me it was very moving

I wrote this a long, long time ago:

Against a darkening amethyst sky,
the leaves do fall and trees will sigh,
the grass moves slightly on the hill,
then He appears and all is still.
He moves like lightening, yet stands alone,
keeping safe by staying prone
then like quick silver He is off
against the darkening sky so soft...

He wanders everywhere, field and gulf,
and fears nothing: He is the wolf.

Here's something I was forced to write for school [don't tell anyone, but I had a ton of fun with this <3 [I had to take out a line, though, 'cause it didn't comply with the rules of the site]

The feeling you get when you’re dreaming of joy
The warmth inside when you sit by the fire on Christmas Eve
The glimmer of the moon on a cloudless night sky
The smell of fresh rain that just battered the pavement clean
The color of the sky when the sun begins to set
The wonderous sight of an eagle taking flight
The sound a wolf makes when he howls in the darkness of the night
The way a river runs through a thick, dense forest, no one to stop it from reaching for it’s destination.
The freedom you feel when you run through a grassy meadow
Holding no fears in the world
The happiness you get after your parents surprise you
The green leaves of the evergreen,
To the rush of the ocean’s blue and white waves,
To the marshy lands of the swamps,
The purple colors of lilacs in spring,
And the relaxation you get after you’ve finished a long year at school
The purring of your cat, asleep on your lap
The rustling of your pet rats scurrying in their cage
The sound of the fan blowing air around the room,
The sight of new life around you when you step outside
A puppy racing back and forth across a lawn
Riding horses in the summer breaks
The sound of the birds chirping outside your cabin window
The feeling of cold water cooling down your tired body when you go for a swim
The satisfaction of learning how to draw a new creature
The sweet taste of fresh fruits
When you eat the bread your grandma just baked
The way you feel when you’ve finished a book
The way you feel when you get obsessed
When you feel excited to learn a new thing
Or learn an old thing, but get better at the skill
The feeling of rest,
The feeling of comfort,
The feeling of joy,
The feeling of hope,
The feeling of success,
The feeling you get at the end of a day spent with your family
The thing that now makes you want to reach that final goal
The thing you seemed to be missing in life
The thing that people can’t live without:
The feeling of love.

Say hey!! I found this little treasure buried underneath all those dead threads, and I thought I'd like to revive it with a few thought-out poems of my own contrivances. It's been a while since we'd had a very deep and well thought-provoking thread on here, so I'd appreciate it if we could start this back up again...

This first poem, a select few might've heard from me over the shout boxes, but I do believe there's something strangely ominous about it, yet insidiously compelling to read. For all of you who don't know the story, an unnamed woman from a couple of my dreams told me this rhyme. I woke up actually muttering the words out loud, and the words stuck since.

Warning of a Sprite

Mind the thought nunce
as the Banshee wails once
and the spume of the mind bubbles red.

Luck of the dice
as the Banshee wails thrice
but prepare for tears bitter be shed.

Another spontaneous moment where words simply seem to just come to me...

War Prayer

Set thy strength, I ask it now
I pray thy might to me endow.
When fires in thy belly grow,
unleash thy wrath upon my foe!

I'm sure I got more somewhere, but I'll post them later.

I so second that^^ and I think I might to but im not sure the world can handle my new Ecliptic style of nocturnal and euphoric poetry^^XD but I will gladly think about it the next time my mind drifts into slumber of epic divinity^^
