"MAUR!" yelled Taka he pushed through a burning part of the house,he saw maur and pulled her onto his back and raced out of the house,when they were back in the forest he set her down. "youre gonna be fine Maur,we've got so much to do together,come on we've been through so much together.Rememeber the forest fire,and Steele getting Stuck up that tree,remember that? coe on Maur,come on" he layover her as a tear rolled down his face "come on Maur,you're gonna be fine" he whispered.

Black. That's all there was. Maura looked around, frightened, to see the same dark color in every direction. A bright, blinding light appeared suddenly, and she squinted to sheild her eyes. What was this place? And why was she here? She ventured towards the light, in hopes of finding the way out. Just as she was a few feet from the opening the light had seeped through, a familiar voice broke her thoughts. "Taka?" She gasped for breath.

"Taka..." She coughed as a small fume of smoke stuck in her lungs. "Taka, what happened?" She mumbled weakly. Her words slurred together, and her eyes were too weak to open.

Jenna was not that far away. She was crying softly. But just enough to where they could hear her. She was mumbling something like, "Rosie, why did she have to go."

Taka tried not to listen to Jennas screams,he remebered losing Ebony,losses were painful,even he knew that.

Maura coughed again. Everything was becoming quieter. There was a pleading scream in the background, but she could barely hear it now. All she could hear were her sister's comforting words. 'Maura, there's no point in being afraid of life. Just live it and you'll be happy.' She had been comforted by her sister when other siblings had picked on her once, leaving her in tears. It was all she had to remember her sister, for the next day, she was killed by a hunter.

"Come on Maur its fine" said taka nuzzling his mate and cursing in lantine under his breath when he stood on his own paw. he remembered the song his mother had sang to him and Balto whenever they were ill or in pain.He sang it under his breath in a whisper to Maur.Softly and caringly he lay next to her.

The voice of her sister changed from a caring whisper to a lullaby that had become very familiar to her. Maura closed her eyes and listened, only to hear it change to another familiar wolf voice. It was the voice of a male, who had become very close to her in the past however-long-it-has-been-since-the-RP-started. "T-taka?" She was too weak to say anything else, just repeating the same name over and over again.

"maur" he whispered "It's ok I'm here" but for once Takas voice was dulled as the words of his father came back to him Your'e useless,getout of m sight you filthy half breed Taka sighed,His father had been right,He coudn't even sav his own mate.
