It kind of is for me. There's only one person that I know who has also seen the movie, but he isn't as much of a fan as I am.

My family knows that Balto is one of my favorite movies (I had to shell out almost $70 to buy the second and third, still dont own the first, can't find it) and they couldn't care less. Only one of my friends doesn't make fun of me for liking Balto (cause he's a fan too) and lots of kids insult me about it. I could care less what people think but it pisses me off when jerks pass pictures they drew of me 'getting it on' with wolves. I've learned to just ignore them or pass back pictures I drew of them getting torn apart by wolves.

I just got a new nickname from my classmates. Wolf-Woman I apparently am somewhat something like a werewolf, and a superhero too. I have special moves like tail whip... They are SO imature. I got feedback on a Balto t-shirt I made, from a fellow classmate Who is Balto? I gritted my teeth and stated "A... True... Hero..." Becuse that's what my shirt said.

I have a sort of don't ask don't tell policy with my friends. If they asked I would proudly say yes. Then they would insult me and I'd have to punch them.

Basically no one really knows I specifially like Balto but they know I'm an animation junkie. One guy at school will call me a Disney nerd and even a veg-head because I'm vegetarian, but he says it affectionetly. To sum it up, no one cares at my school about one's interests. There are too many different people to make fun of one unless their extremely obscure, like a hardcore furry. But we don't have any of those.

No one knows except my pet's who are around when I watch it. It would be better if people were more accepting and considerate of our/my interests...

Probably only my father and my best friend are aware of and respect my passion so, yeah, for the rest of my relatives it's a kind of secret. My father discovered it when we went to NYC and we happened to be in central park. Without even planned it i found myself in front of the statue and i said : "Oh my....Where did i put that bloody camera?!" I took lots of photos and my father contributed taking some pictures of me with the statue, but he didn't mocked me at all. I remember that when we came back to my country he asked me if had planned to look for the monument and i said i had just been lucky!
