"How?" asked Grave, "Cane you see ANYTHINg familiar? Other than that rock"

"I can!" smirked Runt, then pointed at the ground. "I remember that grain of sand."

Grave gave a most un-Grave-like giggle, quickly turning it into a cough "Any far-off landmarks then? Something we can head towards?"

"No I'm serious!" Runt argued, her voice alittle higher than normal. She leant down and pointed to the ground. "There's a picture drawn in the sand that I remember."

Grave turned slightly and stared at the sand, eyes narrowed against the glare, trying to follow Runts gaze.

Runt nodded to the symbol in the sand, one they all knew. It was a distinct happy-smiley-face, one side smudged slightly from the wind. "BL/ind." she said.

Anything Grave might have said died in his throat. He straightened up and looked around, his body language suddenly tense.

"I think this is some kind of "marking of territory", just by looking at it..." Runt stated. She stood up quickly. "We should get out of here."

Grave looked less certain as he took his gun "It could have been done just to scare us, we need to ind out which direction we're going in."

"If only we had a map..." mused Runt. "But then again, it's good to learn the terrain ourselves."
