The whistle sounded and a few seconds after, the train lurched forward and began its slow journey to Alaska. The borzoi was finally able to sleep in peace without the constant nagging feeling that he'd be caught and thrown off the train.

The train finally arrived in Alaska. It was about 2 o'clock in the morning when the light of a lantern was in Nikolai's face.
"Hey! What the-"
Nikolai didn't even give the man a chance to finish his sentence; he pounced on him, knocking the man to the snow covered ground. Nikolai growled and bounded off away from the train station.

"Christmas is almost here?!" Kandas cried out. "Oh, great! I don't even have a present for-" he stopped himself and looked away with a blush. A few snickers arose from the gang and Owl walked up to him. "For who Kandas?" she asked slyly.

(Time skip, I guess)

Nikolai yawned and stretched his muscles; they were sore from lying in the train car for over a few days and the run he just did didn't do him any good. The dog sniffed the air and his nose picked up the scent of a snowshoe hare.

"C'mon, tell me!" Owl said with a smile.
"No." Kandas got up and quickly trotted away, hoping that Owl would follow him. She didn't.

The borzoi crept to where the hare was. It was too busy searching for grass under the snow to even notice Nikolai approaching. Unfortunately, Niko stepped on a twig and it snapped, alerting the rodent a few feet from him. The hare took one glance at him and took off.
Nikolai cursed in Russian and ran after his prey.

"Eh? Huh?" T.P questioned, tilting his head to the side. "I'm so confused..."
