Bakari stood still. "You're going to be a father?" There was a long pause when Kensai just nodded. "I... I don't know what to say. Congratulations! My son is going to be a father!"
Bakari just had a massive smile on his face. "And the mother of my grandchild, Marija, how pleased to meet you too. I just can't believe I didn't realise, although, now it is obvious! The times you wandered off alone, your loneliness and you're care for Alika and Maliha. You were seeing Marija, longing for her when you were here and practising for being a father." Bakari stopped speaking and just smiled at the couple. "I'm proud of you son."

Then Bakari started thinking some more. "Of course, you were lying to me and betraying my trust when the rules of the land clearly state any intruders should be brought to me or Amani."

Then he laughed as he saw Kensai and Marija's shocked and guilty expressions. "I'm just pulling your tail! It would've been nice to know sooner so I could give you some tips, as well as to make Marija feel comfortable in the place where she'd give birth. Come on, let's tell your mother!"

He turned away, but noticed how Marija looked uncomfortable. "Marija, I know I may seem harsh, but I am friendly too, as is my Pride. You will be welcomed here, especially because you are pregnant with Kensai's cub. Please come, and I'll stop them from asking too many questions!"

Iyafa gave Aleela a sad yet sympathetic glance. "That's okay," she said, trying to sound as comforting as possible. "But Alika is right. I may be rather new to the pride, but like everyone else, I care. We all do." Iyafa was proud of the cub for saying such comforting words.

Kensai sighed"there's more than that, Marija can only stay until the cub is born, then she must return, her other mate, well the lion who forced her to be his queen will wonder where she has gone, I need for the pride to help keep her safe, Liam is ruthless"

Marija looked at Bakari and then Kensai but smiled "i may stay I'm not sure, it all depends but I would love to meet the pride, I've never had cubs this is my first" she said following Bakari with Kensai in tow

Mara bent down to see Uri and Umeko. "They're adorable!" she said. She looked out the cave and saw Radhi and Zula coming towards pride rock.

Kani was felt sorry for Aleela, but he was actaully getting bored with the story since he prefered playing and fighting.

Kori lay in pride rock, feeling bored and sad. She still didn't have a mate or family, except for Mara and Kani.

As Zula followed Radhi, she couldn't stop thinking of meeting Mara's son, Kani. But, soon, that moment changed. She saw Mara and called "Hi Mara!" And ran towards her. As she reached her she rubbed herself against Mara's legs. Soon she questioned Mara. "Mara? Can I stay with you?" She asked.

'Yeah, I guess...' Said Aleela. 'So, it's your turn next. Tell a story!' She said to Lyafa.

Rakhi sat on Priderock, seeing the whole pridelands from that distance. She couldn't wait to be with Taji, and was waiting for queen Amani's words for being queen. 'Wish my granny could see it, and I'd be even more happy if my unseen parents could see me...' She whispered.

Moto sat on Priderock, then noticed King Bakari off in the distance. He narrowed his eyes to try and make him out, but only saw that he was with someone. He looked around for a moment before leaping down the rocks at Priderock and padded towards King Bakari, then paused. He knew the king could handle whatever happened. He decided to make his rounds on Priderock, walking past the caves until he heard mewling coming from the birthing den. He stuck his head around the corner. "Hello?" he called.

Iyafa nodded. "Okay," she replied. "I'll tell the tale of Samada the lion, a tale I heard from my mother." Samada's tale had always been one of Iyafa's favourites. "It all started with a young yet brave adolescent lioness begging her father, the alpha-err, king- of a successful pride, to go see the Chamber Rocks, a cave that existed long ago, longer than any of us could imagine- for Samada's tale is ancient. Her father agreed, but made her two older brothers go along with her.
"The Chamber Rocks were indescribable. Inside the cave was a large pool of water, with exotic fish swimming in it."
"Do you have an idea of what the Chamber Rocks looked like, Alika?" Iyafa suddenly asked. Usually, when the story was told to cubs in her birth pride, the lion telling the story would pause and ask that very question. Iyafa felt like the tradition needed to be kept.

Bahati was out hunting unknown that there was something going on that she didn't even notice as she spotted a herd of zebra nearby. She wanted to bring something back for the Pride and spotted a young zebra with a limp and prepared to attack the zebra her ears pinned back her muscles tensed.

Tafari smiled at Radhi and turned around to head towards the story cave to draw. Tafari then looked at his colored image of him Radhi and the cub he wasn't sure how many cubs Radhi would have so he added another cub next to the other cub he had no idea if she was expecting his cubs or cub or not.

Umeko yawned and pulled on her brother's ear growling playfully.

Mara smiled at Zula. "Of course, I love you," she said, nuzzling Zula. "And please, don't call me Mara, call me Mom."

Kani decided to stop listening to the stories, even if they were exciting. He decided to look for Maliha, but instead found his mother and a cub. "Mom who is this?" Kani asked. "Your new sister, Kani," Mara said. Kani looked at Zula. "Is she adopted?" Kani asked and looked up at his mother and saw her nod.

Bakari was pleased. Zula looked happy with Mara.

Alika thought for a while. "Um... was it made up of several large boulders all piled on top of one another?"

"Hello? Moto is that you? Come and see my new cubs!" Uhuru called. She smiled as she saw Moto enter and observe the new members of the Pride. "I bet at least one of them will be your trainees!"
Ukurugenzi nudged his sister playfully. He looked into his mother's eyes, almost begging her silently to move his sister, who was constantly fidgeting!"

Radhi walked back slowly to find Tafari. She wanted to give him his dream.

Today, Bakari actually went down into the animals to welcome them to Taji and Rakhi's Joining Ceremony. Again, he was amazed by the number that turned up! Once he'd chatted with a few animals, he went inside Pride Rock and found Taji. He looked nervous.
"Come here, my son." he said.
Taji ran up to his father and nuzzled him. "I'm scared, father." he said quietly.
"Scared?"
"Yes. I will be presenting my mate in front of future subjects. What if they don't like her the way I do, what if they don't like me?"
"How could they not like you or Rakhi. They have had no reason to hate you or disrespect you. You'll be fine. Anyway, Busara is performing todays ceremony and he certainly knows how to keep you calm. Why don't you go and join him now? I'll see how the girls are getting along."

Amani was trying to comfort Rakhi, who was feeling slightly nervous. Over the past few weeks, she'd been giving Rakhi advice, such as how to keep other animals calm and how to make a decision and she knew Rakhi would make a brilliant queen. She gave her a lick on the cheek and then saw Bakari enter and nod towards her and she knew it was time. She and Rakhi got up and Amani went and sat by Bakari as she saw Rakhi sit by her son. As Busara performed the ceremony, Amani had tears in her eyes. Her little boy had grown up.

Radhi enjoyed watching Taji and Rakhi's Joining Ceremony as it reminded it of hers. However, she also was thinking about something else. She was pregnant and had been for a week or so, but she hadn't realised. Once the ceremony had finished, Tafari noticed something was wrong. Radhi took this moment to tell him, but not anyone else, that she was pregnant with their cubs. The look on his face would stay in her memory forever.

Ubora smiled down at his little family. "They're going to be future King and Queen, Uri and Umeko." he said. They were very inquisitive and liked knowing everything.
"Why?" demanded Ukurugenzi.
"Because Taji is King Bakari and Queen Amani's first born and he is the heir to the throne."
"That's right! Think of all the pressure that might be on top of young Taji and Rakhi's shoulders, viewing their future subjects for the first time from Pride Rock."

Bakari went over and congratulated his son and his mate. "You two are perfect for each other." Then , out of the corner of his eye he saw Marija sneak off. He thought he knew where she was going.
"Amani." he whispered. "Can you follow Marija? I think she's going to the Birthing Cave."

Amani did. "Marija? Are you okay?"

Alika loved the ceremony, full of love and happiness, however she was annoyed at her sister because all she could think about was her lesson later on with Moto.
Maliha had slowly, but surely, practised her techniques with Moto, and by herself, so she was actually a pretty good fighter. She couldn't wait for her lessons with him!

After the ceremony was over, Rakhi said to Taji, 'I'm still a little nervous. I never thought I'd be queen.'

Aleela saw the joining ceremony. The pride seemed happy now. She went to Uhuru and Ubora. 'Hello! Are these two your new cubs?' She said to them

Kori was sad at the ceremony. She still didn't have a family or many friends. Mara was too busy paying attention to Zula and Kani to notice her.

While Mara was sitting next to her cubs, she noticed something. She discovered it for a while, but wasn't sure if she right. But now she was sure. "I'm pregnant!" she thought. She looked down at Kani, who was talking to Zula.

"So, where did you come from?" he asked. "Who were your parents? Did you ever meet them? What were they like?"

Moto smiled down. "It is always good to have new lives among us. But I didn't know you were expecting," he said, lifting his head as the cubs scrambled in their mother's paws below him. "They will be valuable additions, non the least," he added. "I'll be happy to teach them only if they want to learn," he said, then gave her a head butt before leaving. Later, at the joining ceremony, he stood on Priderock, looking out at the animals who had gathered. He knew how important it was, and knew the two lions would be happy together. And, as their future leaders, he needed to be by there side, due to being a sort of personal guard to the king and queen.
