The vet had to put Cheyhaivo down. In the process at being at the vet, Cheyhaivo went blind in his left eye. Steve layed Cheyhaivo down delicately laying his paws exactly how he'd sleep. He placed his collar beside him, along with his harness, and a picture of him and Steve when Cheyhaivo was a pup.. "Rest in piece." Steve rubbed his head and ear.

Raphael lowered his head in sadness and respect. Then, the wolf half of him awoke, and he srted howling, saying his goodbyes to Cheyhaivo.

A few days later, everything in the household was happy and full of playful dogs.

Raphael laughed and rolled around happily on the floor, feeling very high-spirited.

Willow stayed close to Raphael. She couldn't get over her mate's death. She was happy when Raphael and the other dogs were happy. Willlow wasn't a dog that would find another guy after she's already had one. Still she stayed close to Raphael.

"Hey Willow, wanna play-fight with me?" Raphael said happily, smiling at her and wagging his tail.

Willow smiled. "Sure! When I was a pup, my dad and I would do that al the time." She said crouching. She pounced on him and tugged his ear. Letting go, she rolled and placed her paw in front of her chest.

Raphael laughed and nipped Willow's ear as well.

"Me and Balto used to do the same thing." he said.

Willow stopped. "Balto, you mean, the wolf dog?" she lowered her head. "My daughter, Jenna a small town beautiful husky, told me she's in love with him." Willow said shrugging.

Snowflake smiled as she watched the others play."Frost!You can't catch me!"a familiar voice to snowflake said."Spotty?"Snowflake said to herself.Snowflake's five pups were now all grown up."Hey chocolate!You can't get us!"Rusty said.Rusty and Chevak ran around with Chocolate chasing them.Spotty and Frost joined in.Spotty and Chocolate were now chasing Frost,Chevak,and Rusty.

"Really? Balto once told me that he was in love with Jenna too." Raphael said, sitting beside Willow. "I'm a wolfdog too, you know. I'm half wolf and half Akita. I'm an orphan just like Balto, and before your human adopted me, Balto and I grew up together on the streets. And we were both always bullied and humiliated by Steele and his twin brother Silver. Silver looks exactly like Steele, fur patterns and everything, except he's silver and white instead of black and white, and his eyes are brown.

Willow nodded. "Steele better stay away from her. I'll kill him." she bared her fangs for a short time. "Anything else you know about Steele?" she asked, curiously.

"Yeah," Raphael continued. "Steele always bullies me and Balto while other dogs are around, and so does Silver, but Silver isn't violent because he never attacks us. However, when there's no witnesses, Steele has tried to kill me AND Balto before. Steele's the violent one, not Silver, but Silver can still be very hurtful and mean."

Willow nodded. "Hmm. Well, it's over with you. So, no need to worry." Whoa, what is that?" Willow gasped as Raphael turned his head to look. Willow then pounded on top of him.

"Hey! No fair!" Raphael laughed playfully, tugging at Willow's ear.
