Three of Bear's male helper alphas all surrounded Zach and mocked him with bared teeth and bristled fur.

"So, you're the alpha's son, are you? The Great Alpha Zasshu?" one of them said.

"Great Alpha Zasshu? Hah! As if! There's no greater pathetic excuse for an alpha male than Zasshu." another added.

"Yeah! And he isn't even a true wolf! Much less a true leader! Only true wolves can have and lead their own pack. But that wolf-fox isn't worthy of any of that. All foxes are worth is pathetic, worthless scoundrels!"

"MY dad is NOT worthless!" Zach snarled at them. "My dad is the BEST leader anyone could EVER hope to have!"

"Oh please, little fox-wolf. You're no less worthless than your arrogant father. Do you honestly think we'd let you talk down to us, much less your embarrassment of a father?"

"SHUT UP! YOU'RE GONNA PAY FOR EVER TRYING TO FIGHT MY DAD, ME, OR MY PACK! I'LL MAKE YOU ALL WISH YOU WERE NEVER BORN!" Zach snarled furiously, taking the three of them on alone.

Zach was doing rather well on his own, but Zasshu feared that he would need help, so he rushed to his son's aid and tackled on of the three wolves that were fighting his son.

Cheyanne got in front of one of the wolves mocking her son." Don't you EVER talk that way about my mate or my son." She snarled. The wolf bit her son's scruff and threw him onto a hard rock. "Zach!" Cheyanne screamed. Cheyanne snarled at the wolf, and he just scoffed at her and was showing motions that he was about to bite. But Cheyanne beat him too it. Cheyanne locked her jaws on his muzzle, it was still closed, and clamped harder. Cheyanne was on lock-down. She was like a snake, not letting go until prey was dropped dead. THUNK. "You, be-atch. (You know what I mean)

"I told your alpha what I'd do to him. I meant that for all of you." Cheyanne snarled. She turned and threw another wolf that mocked her son. She locked, she bit, the wolf dropped dead. She didn't do that to the third one, he retreated. "Zach!" She yelled as she went over and dragged him to Zasshu. She lyed beside both of them. She could still feel them breathing, while still alive (Zasshu and Zach) Cheyanne prayed deeply for her son's and mate's life.

Zach then stirred, and looked up at Cheyanne.

"M-Mom...?" Zach coughed out, then stood and shook himself. "What happened? Where's Dad?" Zach asked her, almost in a panic.

Zasshu still lay on the ground beside where Zach had been laying, eyes closed and not moving a muscle. Zach gasped and went to his dad's side, licking his wounds to try and stop the blood and to hopefully wake him up, but after several long minutes there was still no response from Zasshu.

"Mom, what's wrong with him?" Zach asked, confused about what exactly is going on.

Cheyanne lyed her head on the back of Zasshu's neck, and cryed. She didn't answer her son, closed her eyes, and prayed again. "I've had it. Never again. " Cheyanne said under her breathe. "I'm going to kill them, Zach. Stay with you father. I'm not going to have anymore of them kill us. So I'm going to kill them. " Cheyanne said licking Zasshu on his forehead. "I'm sorry, Zasshu. I must." Cheyanne said praying one last time, then calling some pack members to go with her.

While Cheyanne and the other pack members went to finish off Bear's pack, Carlos, Carla, and Aspen all joined Zach in watching after their dad, Zasshu, each crying softly in fear of their ad being dead. Aspen and Carla both curled up against their dad, while Carlos and Zach stood bedside them to protect them from any more harm.

"Dad... I know you can make it. You have to." Zach said softly, looking down at his dad with fearful eyes. "Please Dad, don't go... not now, not before I got the chance to tell you..." Zach sniffled and began crying softly. "...that I love you, too..."

Meanwhile, back at Bear's den, Cheyanne has prepared war. "Well well, if it isn't our pal. The white fox." A wolf said smirking. Cheyanne gave him a short glare. "I'm going to kill each and everyone of you."Cheyanne said barring her teeth." No, wait. We promise we won't do anything else to hurt you." Another wolf said. "No. No take backs. I meant what I said. And I'll do it
" Cheyanne said as she lunged at the wolves. "Move!" Cheyanne commanded to her pack. Cheyanne grabbed a wolf's scruff and ripped flesh, killing him. About five minutes later, Cheyanne had demolished Bear's pack." Come on. Lets get back to Zasshu. "Cheyanne said praying again.

Carla and Aspen continued to lick and nudge their dad to try and wake him, while Carlos and Zach stood guard, watching with sad, but hopeful eyes.

"Zach." Cheyanne said through the bush. "Mom?" He answered back. Then, Cheyanne and the pack came back to Zasshu. "Mom, he's still breathing. But it's getting harder." Carlos said looking worried. "I'm afraid he's..... on the urge of dieing." Cheyanne said looking as if she where about to cry. Then, Cheyanne motioned to the rest of the pack." Guys, take my pups back to the territory. I need uh, I need some alone time with Zasshu. "She said sitting down and pushing her nose up against Zasshu's neck. When the pack was out of site, Cheyanne cryed." Zasshu don't leave. At least before you do, let me tell you a couple of things. First, we all love you. Second, I'm uh. I'm pregnant again, that's why I can't let you go." Cheyanne said lying her head over Zasshu's.

Zasshu's eyes widened.

"W-What? Y-you're... p-pregnant? W-We're having... m-more pups...?" Zasshu choked out hoarsely, surprised.

Zasshu then tightly closes his eyes, feeling horrible and angry with himself for having gotten himself so banged up when Cheyanne had warned him to be careful.

"Cheyanne... I... I'm so sorry, I... I tried to calmly negotiate with Bear, and try to make peace with... with him and his pack so that... no-nobody else would get hurt or e-even k-killed, but... he just wouldn't l-listen... I'm sorry, Cheyanne, I didn't m-mean for any of th-this to happen... I di-didn't mean for things to g-go this far..."

Zasshu coughed up a little bit of blood, before his head heavily sunk back down into the dirt, since he wasn't strong enough to hold his own head up for very long, and he tightly shut his eyes, a single tear slowly trailing down one of them.

"I-I'm sorry, my lo-love... I'm so sorry you have t-to see me l-like this a-again... Forgive me, please... Please, my love... forgive me."

Cheyanne looked at him. " Honey, it's not your fault you're hurt. Of course I forgive you. But for something you didn't do to yourself, just no worries. I still love you." Cheyanne said crying. "Zasshu, I just. I uh, I just need to know if you're strong enough to survive." Cheyanne said sitting up, then helping Zasshu up on his feet. Which didn't work to well.

Zasshu collapsed once or twice, maybe three times, but by the fourth time he managed to keep his balance and not fall over, remaining on all four paws, however still somewhat wobbly.

"Yes, Cheyanne... I think I can manage... I have to, for our pack, for our kids, for our little pups now on their way... and for you." Zasshu looked at Cheyanne with love and determination in his eyes. "I promised you that I would never leave you. And... I intend to keep that promise."

Zasshu wearily started to walk forward, but just a few steps later he slipped and lost his footing and found himself yet again in the motion of falling over once again.

Cheyanne helped him again, then helped him walk to the pack territory. "We're almost there." Cheyanne said smiling and licking Zasshu's cheek.

Zasshu then suddenly collapsed, his body landing with a soft thump on the ground, and his eyes were shut. He hadn't died or passed out or anything, but rather just collapsed after being drained of the last of his strength to walk.

"Cheyanne, I can't walk anymore... I can't."

Cheyanne was ticked off. Bear had done this, she knew it from the start, she couldn't stand to see Zasshu like this. "Alright, I didn't come this far to see you quit, Zasshu. You must keep going." Cheyanne started to push Zasshu up out of the dirt. "This isn't the Zasshu I Know. The Zasshu I know is willing, strong, protective, loving, and deeply caring. Not Zasshu the, quitting, unloving ,un compatible, loser. You're more then this. Your strong. And your pups will be the same way." Cheyanne said.

Hey AW, if it's alright, would you mind if I named some of the new pups? -shy smile-

Zasshu gritted his teeth together tightly, knowing that Cheyanne was indeed right. He wasn't going to quit. Not now, after everything that he had fought for, not before seeing his four pups Zach, Aspen, Carlos, and Carla grow up, and especially NOT before he got to witness the birth of his new coming pups growing in Cheyanne's belly right at the very moment.

"You're ***** right I'm not gonna quit." Zasshu stated boldly, getting up slowly and enduring the pain to the best of his abilities, and urged himself to continue walking at his mate's side the rest of the way to their den.
