"RILEY!" Arthur barked, scrambling after her when she ran to Sean. The red-head smirked, pulling out a pocket knife. He grabbed Riley's back and kneed her hard in the stomach. Arthur's fist met Sean's face, and he watched Sean smirk at him.
"Why wont you leave me alo-" Arthur snapped, before Sean stuck the knife into Arthur's stomach. Arthur grabbed his stomach, and Sean slid the knife across the back of Arthur's neck and over his shoulder blades.
The scottishman knelt down, and pulled Arthur's chin up, and looked into his eyes.
"Because if i can't have you, nobody can." He whispered, about to kiss him when Alfred kicked Sean hard in the face, sending him tumbling into the road. A large car drove by at that moment, and it looked like it his Sean, but there was no body in the road. In the distance Alfred saw Sean casually walking away from them, down the street.

I felt his knee hook my stomach and the baby be slammed against my back The baby.. was my first thought as I fell to the ground and doubled over. I clutched my stomach hard and started trembling, I could already tell it was dead, there was no pulsing or anything. I trembled harder and then heard Sean mutter something then Alfred hooked him. I hoped that car would kill Sean, but he just kept walking and avoided the car. I looked over to see Arthur bleeding heavily. I gagged, still clutching my stomach and heard my dad running outside. He looked at both me and Arthur and gun gripped tightly in his hand. But I knew Sean was all ready gone. I clutched my stomach and felt more tears, A.J. was dead, I couldn't protect him. He was dead, and his life hadn't even started. I felt more tears force their way out and then my dad calling the police.
"Mhm, yes, two victims, and okay thank you" My dad muttered into the phone. Soon there was an ambulance. I still clutched my stomach and looked over at the still bleeding Arthur "Oh...Oh God..." I muttered seeing where Sean had stuck him. Cassidy ran over to me and clutched my hand "I'm so sorry Rilz!" She begged but I just glared at her, still on the ground, still in pain.

Arthur just stared at the ground, clutching his stomach tightly, blood running down over his stomach.
"I-It's always me.." He muttered, wishing Sean had just killed him then and there. He glanced at Riley, thinking about the dead being inside of her, and he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"Arthur, an Ambulance is coming, okay?" The american said, but he couldn't recognize.

I heard the ambulance blare down the street and soon a flurry of people surrounded me, but I didn't look at them, I just looked at the ground infront of me. I saw them take Arthur, gingerly placing him in the ambulance first, then a set of hands transported me in there too. But, in truth, I wasn't all that hurt. At least not physically. I saw Arthur still clutching his stomach. The doctors in the ambulance hooked him up to an I.V. and started working on his stomach, saving his life. While I was here, unresponding to any questions asked, my sister trying to best she could to answer for me. I still clutched my stomach where there was my little dead A.J. I didn't cry anymore, though I probably could've. My face was a blank sheild, my eyes thinking and dull. Cassidy rubbed my back but I winced away from her. He was dead, it was my fault, it was all my fault. We pulled up to the hospital and me and Arthur were transported to different operation room. I looked at him carefully, all the pain in his eyes, all the hurt in his face. I felt a mask be placed over me and soon I was asleep, knowing that htey were taking my baby out of me.

The visit to the hospital was only one of many Arthur had been to, though the doctors continuasly questioned him about his other scars. He felt like throwing up, the pain was so much, knowing his kid was dead and his stomach. Alfred was beside him the whole time; all he could remember from the surgery was Alfred's hand in his.

Days later..

Arthur had fallen asleep on Alfreds parent's couch, clutching his stomach as he did the couple days in the past. Alfred had been his primary care-giver, feeding him. Alfred's parents were very nice and always made him feel..at home. He sighed, standing, and walking outside to visit Riley for the first time that day. Alfred was close at his heels as they made their way to her house.

The visit to the doctor had been quick, when I'd woken up they told me that the baby was dead and out and I could go home. I'd asked about Arthur and they told me he was fine, but I wouldn't go see him. It'd been a couple of days since the operation, my dad seemed to stop being so mean now that the baby was gone. My mom, too, was satisfied (partcially) With the results. I sat in my room, looking out the window that allowed me to veiw the brickwall next door. I'd been looking out that window for some time, thinking, my knees pulled to my chest. I looked past the building, trying to imagine what my neighbors might be doing. I knew they had a kid around 5 or 6, she was a sweet little girl with long brown hair and was obsessed with unicorns. The wife's father lived with them, he was in poor condition, and the husband secretly cheated on the wife with her sister. It seemed everyone knew that but her. I kept looking at the brick wall, thinking that they were probably eating lunch right now, the little girl uncomfortable around the old man. The husband was probably texting his secret lover, a smug grin on his face, the wife thinking her life was perfect. I'd trade my life for her's. Even if it wasn't perfect, she seemed to content. The little girl, the husband, her father there, gratefull for her. Thanksgiving was tommarow, I wondered if I would eat. Probably not. Arthur had come by to see me every day, but I hardly noticed him anymore. Cassidy continued her flirting with him, desprate wh*re. While I remained silent, clutching my stomach, looking out my window.

Arthur knocked on Riley's door, and was let in by Riley's mom. Alfred and Arthur went upstairs, and entered Riley's room.
"Hey.." Arthur greeted quietly, and Alfred waved. Arthur went and sat by Riley on her bed, and put an arm around her waist.
"Im still sorry..." He whispered, kissing her cheek.
"You can always make another one!" Alfred piped, and Arthur shot him a hard glare.

I didn't look when they came in, I just kept looking at the wall. I wondered how the wife met the husband, were they high school sweethearts? Or did they meet over eHarmony or something? Were they as scared as I was when the wife found out she was pregnant? Or were they trying to have a baby? When did the husband start cheating on her? How would the little girl turn out? Would she end up like a sweet girl who got along with everyone? Or would she be like me? A rude, selfish, girl who put her baby in harms way because of her temper. I really hoped she's end up a sweet, successful girl, who had a great life and would never have to experiance the pain that I was feeling. I heard Alfred say something fuzzy about a new baby. I shivered when he said this, but just kept looking ahead. Unresponding to anyone.

Arthur took Riley's face in his hands, and made her look at him.
"Hey, we both got hurt, everything'll be fine." He reassured her, putting her hand on his stomach. Alfred had gone quiet, then said something about going off to the store with his parents. Arthur sighed, and pulled Riley into his lap, leaning against the wall.
"Riley, one day you're going to meet someone, whether it's me or not, and you're going to fall in love and start a family. And that baby is going to have your beautiful eyes, and your beautiful hair, and you will be so happy." He murmured, wrapping his arms around her stomach.

I was forced to look at Arthur, which made me wince, what if A.J. looked like him? I shivered as he pulled me onto his lap and whispered things about starting a family with someone, whether it was him or not. And for the first time since the accident I started to cry and let everything out.
"It wasn't just the fact that I was going to start a family, it was the fact that I'd fallen in love with that baby. I had a name for him, he was going to look exactly like you and grow up and be sweet, and handsom, and charming...He was going to be succseful in life, he was going to be my sweet little boy, he was going to be all of these great and wonderful things. And I killed him..." My voice cracked and I began to sob "I killed him.." I whispered pressing my face into Arthur's chest and feeling a lump grow in my throat.

Arthur rubbed her back, and kissed her head.
"No, Sean killed him. I killed him. All of this is my fault Riley, don't you go blaming yourself.." He said honestly, hugging Riley. If Arthur hadn't've ever comne to America, he wouldn't have put Riley through all this pain. He should've been dead right now.
"Please hate me..say you hate me and you want me to die, and..and.." He stuttered sadly.

I blinked and shook my head "I can't hate you..." I said taking a breath to steady myself. I looked distainfully down at the wall agian then heard that familiar voice squeak into my room. Cassidy walked into my room and glared tome, seeing that I was pulled onto Arthur's lap. She groaned and observed the tears in my eyes.
"Oh, come on Riley! It's been like a week! Get over it!" She moaned, stomping her feet on the floor like a two year old. "Hey Arthur!" She added, smiling at him as seductivly as she could. I gripped Arthur neck and frowned.
"Please Cassidy...Just leave me alone..." I begged but she just snorted and sat next to us.
"I'm sorry, but you two make a really ugly couple, well...Riley would make anyone look bad so..." She said to Arthur. I felt my chest heave and I felt a few tears start back up agian. She was so mean to me.

Arthur didn't react, until he gently slid Riley off of his lap, and stood up. He walked over to Cassidy, and looked her in the eyes.
"I heard you were single? No wonder, you're just a sl*tty b****." He snarled, slapping her clear across the face. Arthur went bck onto Riley's bed, and kissed her softly, kissing her tears away too.
"Love you~" He said, purposely trying to make Cassidy mad.

I frowned when he slapped my sister, but she deserved it. He then walked over and started kissing me, I didn't smile, but a blush creeped over my face "I love you more..." I replied, looking at his eyes but still not smiling. Cassidy stood there and snarled. Her arms were tence and she pulled me off of my bed and into the hall. Cassidy slapped me across the face and started yelling at me. I didn't pay attention to her, I just looked at the floor while she screamed at me. Something about I wasn't being fair. Cassidy started crying and ran to her room and I went back into my own room. My cheek red.

Arthur stood in the doorway when Cassidy slapped Riley, and he hit her in the back as he pulled Riley back into her room and closed the door, holding her close as he led her back to the bad.
"Sorry i shouldnt've hit her.." He apologized, laying beside Riley. He kissed her palm, and her fingertips, then her nose, and her cheeks.
