I apologize for the poor quality in these adorable munchkin photos, my old phone's quality pictures degraded as it aged.

I love the picture of the butterfly. I actually like how it's not centered on the butterfly itself, it makes it more interesting.

Oh wow. I'm enjoying all the animal photos. And those cloud photos are great, JC! I'm stating to see why Mighty likes them so much. xD

Two of mine. I think I mentioned how I liked taking pictures of trees from the bottom, well here you go:

I really like the photo of the monarch butterfly as well. Good photo, Bats!

Thanks, Roi. :) Cloud photo ops are really extensive around here, though it's tough to know exactly what will make a good photo, what won't. And then, especially if you want to add sun effects into the mix (natural ones that may be playing off the clouds), you have to be able to act fast, as the situations change moment to moment! I missed a nice one yesterday because I just didn't have my camera with me at the time (and I don't have an iPhone). Nice job on the tree photos too. That's one of my favorite angles for photographing trees as well...up into the boughs.

Clouds - Mighty's "raison d'être" XD
Because I now live in the "tidewater" area of southeastern Virginia, I am surrounded by rivers and other large bodies of water. Naturally, cloud formations are rather more dramatic and fascinating over large bodies of water...especially large rivers, lakes and, of course, the ocean!

And since MightyBalto1925 loves the beejeezus out of cloud photos, I knew I HAD to start with these.

And the cloud photos are most simply amazing! My favorite is the alligator cloud xD I do also like the first one, I like the sun ray effect.

^ Great dragonfly photo, Mighty. The subject placement makes it look lovely.

Yup. And I know what you mean. I have a pretty good (if I do say so myself) photo of clouds with sun rays from just about a week or so ago. It's got some cable wires in it though and make it look a little off, but I still kinda like it. Maybe I'll share it soon anyway.
And thank you! It's one of my favorite angles as well.

Thank you, Roi! I like it too, but to be honest with you I couldn't see what I was doing very well, the sun was shining into my LCD screen.

Annnnnd more dragonflys. It appears that they like my mother's former tiger lilly flower stems.

The moment I went outside to photograph these nice clouds, it decided to rain AGAIN.

Someone either has a nice telephoto setting and a pretty decent camera, or she's got magical stealth powers which allow her to sneak closer to a dragonfly than most humans can. ROFL

Very nice!

I just have your average every day camera. lol The focus is crappy though, it took me multiple tries to get it to corporate xD Otherwise I'll go with option 2.

Mighty challenges you to photograph a dragonfly. xD

@ Mighty: Good grief. Basically what JC said. You have mad dragonfly photographing abilities. o-o
These latest are my favorite of your photos yet...

Snow. In Texas. NAAAAH! Who'd ever believe that in this prevailing heatwave of the last several years? All OVER the country! ROFL

But it is a beautiful photo! I also love the detail in the snow! Reminds me of a Christmasy scene!

Methinks Mighty is deceiving us. lol

These dragonfly photos are practically SLR quality...and NO one gets this level of detail with "crappy focus", and less than a major telephoto capability. Especially with nervous insects like dragonflies. lol I don't expect to EVER get that close. Not without an expensive SLR.

Come on...fess up.

Now THIS is what I was talking about when I mentioned using sun effects and seeking out the moment-to-moment opportunities. Very nice photo! Well-executed!
