"Alright, so we defeated Ebidramon at the lake," said Akari. "That's a start, but there's still a lot more we have to do."

"I just hope we'll be able to defeat Devidramon." William murmured, watching as Gabumon swam happily through the water.
Lia sat down next to David and Gatomon padded a little ways away from them. Peering into the trees, Gatomon pricked her ears and heard a distinct noise. Looking back to see if anyone was watching her, Gatomon crouched down and crawled into the undergrowth. I'll be back before they miss me. She promised, crawling in the direction of the noise.

"Maybe tomorrow we should train them in their champion forms. They know so much about their rookie forms but what about when they need to be stronger?" Lia suggested, "They can Digivolve straight to their champion forms, right?"
Gatomon inched through the reeds, nearing the strange noise. As she got closer, she began to recognize the noise as a voice. Is someone... complaining? She wondered.
"I want to eat!" a whiny voice split the air. "No! Cerberumon told us to watch the Koromon! If we disobey, you know what he'll do." another voice answered. Gatomon pulled herself closer and peered through a clump of reeds. Two Gigimon stood in the center of three large crates. Each crate held three Koromon and the Gigimon were obviously keeping watch for anyone who tried to open the cages.
"Please! one of the Gigimon whined. "Fine! But we won't tell Cerberumon about this! We have to hurry!" the other responded and the two broke into a run, deeper into the forest.

"She's over the-" Lia fell silent as she gazed at the empty space on the beach Gatomon had been at only moment before.
Gatomon waited a moment for the Gigimon to get out of earshot before leaping from the reeds and examining the crates. The Koromon inside squealed in terror but Gatomon hissed at them to be silent. "Darn! It's locked!" She exclaimed furiously, jiggling the lock on the side. She then noticed that the crates were made out of thick wood and if she clawed hard enough, the Koromon would be free.
"Guess they aren't as smart as they look." Gatomon said to herself, clawing and biting at the wood until it snapped. The Koromon pushed through the hole in the crate and ran off into the woods, not stopping to thank their rescuer.

"Yeah... what are they doing here?" Lia murmured.
Gatomon watched as the Koromon disappeared into the trees before turning to the next cage. Just as she was about to rip it open, the sound of the two Gigimon returning flooded her ears. Jumping back into the reeds, Gatomon took one look at the last two crates of Koromon before fleeing. She ran until she felt sand under her paws and almost crashed into Akari.

Gatomon flashed the Koromon an angry look and then smiled at the others guiltily.
"Gatomon... What did you do?" Lia asked, sighing.
"Nothing!" She answered a little to quickly.
