Kyler looked around, wide-eyed. "You can do that too?" she asked, kind of amazed at how he could control some things already. She glanced at the ground, then back up at the sky, which was now clear and bright.

"Huh." she said, still gazing at the sky that used to be blanketed in clouds. "You just keep getting cooler and cooler every minute." she added truthfully. She turned her gaze back to him. "Think you could control me?" she asked playfully.

Kyler chuckled at his answers, then broke away from him. "Yeah, you're right." she replied, taking his hand. "But I swear if they ground me and think I'm not gonna sneak out, they're just crazy."

She chuckled and walked along, jumping up on a log on the side of the road and walking on it like a tightrope. "When do you think you're gonna start training?" questioned Kyler, concentrating on balancing on the log.

Kyler noticed Damien's worried look as she wobbled from side to side on the log. "Don't worry, I've got good balance." she assured just as her foot slipped. She didn't fall off; she caught herself, then added, "See? Perfect balance."

Kyler jumped off the log when it ended, but her heart soon sank. That meant she was pretty much home, when the road tapered off. She appraoched her driveway hesitantly, seeing both of her parent's cars were there. "What do I say?" she asked, staring straight ahead.

Kyler nodded. "Okay. We're good." she took a deep breath and started down her driveway, every so often glancing at Damien, as if to make sure he was still there with her. She stopped at the front door and paused, then hesitantly brought her hand up and tapped it with her knuckles.
The door opened slightly and a voice erupted from inside, "Who the h**l is it?!" it shouted.
Kyler looked downcast and answered, "It's me."
The door opened more and a middle-aged woman with jet-black hair stuck out her head. Her face became twisted. "You little piece of s**t!" she screamed. "Where have you been!?"
