Cody tapped his nose and said "I can sense lies with this. You should be able to do the same thing if you just are more in tune with yourself and your newly found instincts or soon to be newly found instincts. What were you dreaming of Fern?"

"Strange things," Fern said, watching what she said. "Places I've never seen. Mostly forest scenes, usually at night. But they're just dreams," she added with a shrug.

Cody shook his head and said while sitting on her bed "They're not just dreams, Fern. They aren't even 'technically' dreams. What do you see while you have those? What do you feel?"

"It's hard to explain exactly," Fern said.

Cody smiled and said "I have the rest of eternity to listen to you talk so I have time. Talk. Please."

"What do you mean by that?" Fern asked. "You talk first. What is going on here?"

Cody shook his head and said "Tell me your dream first and I'll tell you everything."

Fern sighed. "Well, like I said, it's hard to explain. I've had this dream multiple times, but I'm not always sure what goes on during it. I can just remember flashes of images. Trees and snow and a river. Then a field with the sun shining and flowers blooming. There's voices, but not human. Barking and howling and panting. But I know what those sounds mean, how the dog making those noises feels. Then there are actual human voices, but I don't remember exact words." Fern paused for a moment here. "And I always know that I am surrounded by others, people or dogs or whatever that I can trust. But it's just a dream."

Cody chuckled and said "It's not a dream. It's your wolf trying to communicate with you. You've got to listen to it if you want to live now because you won't survive the shift otherwise."

OOC: I had it as a memory the first time. Can I change it back?

"Wolf? Shift?" Fern asked. "What are you talking about. You promise to explain it to me, so start talking."

Ooc:// What do you mean?

Cody nodded his head and said "I'm a werewolf as you can see and you understood me in wolf form completely like another wolf can. I attacked you. I was out of control that night and I am so sorry for dragging you into this. During the next full moon you will experience your first shift. Again, I am so sorry for your bad luck. . . . For our bad luck."

"You expect me to believe that you turned me into a werewolf?" Fern asked.

Cody smirked and said "You are really stubborn. How could you have understood me perfectly when I was in my wolf form any other way?"

"It's just a lot to take in," Fern said apologetically. "And it's also so unbelievable."

Cody shook his head and chuckled. He said "What's more unbelievable than a boy transforming into a wolf in front of you?"
